Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I don't mind having a champion that's not there every week. It's like a throwback to the Hogan/Flair era (although Flair was on TV every week it was rare to see him wrestle on World Championship Wrestling). We see every other champ every week, Styles, Roode, Miz, so it's not like we're lacking to see a belt defended.

Reigns as champion will wrestle on Raw every week and how do you have credible matches when he's out there so much?

I commented earlier about how sloppy Reigns' ring work was last night. It wasn't just him. Rollins work doesn't look crisp anymore either. I hesitate to say but Miz and maybe Elias looked like the cleanest workers in that match.

The last reason I have the WWE Network would be for the boring present day PPV's.

There is plenty to watch besides the crap that represents the modern day WWE .

They keep adding stuff to keep people interested in the WWE Network.

WWE is so predicable, it's boring. And they wonder why the WWE Network can't pass the 1.5 million mark. I remember when PPVs used to be special. Now, they are just another episode of Raw or Smackdown.

Paige and smart life decisions don't go together. Though at least a bad tattoo is pretty low on the list of dumb things that a wrestler can do (and low just on the list of dumb things Paige has done).

I was looking for gloves yesterday, and she wasn't wearing any. But the camera angle of her hands was such that you couldn't see the tattoo. Though if she ever has to walk down to the ring, it'll be tough to cover it up with just camera angles.

I agree that everyone shouldn't have to appear every week. But I think the main champion of your promotion should at least appear at PPVs. And titles should be defended at least once a month.

In Vince's mind, it seems like Alexa Bliss is his female Roman Reigns. Everyone jobs to her power cleanly. At least Roman is a credible looking powerhouse. But the booking seems really out of place for Bliss. You'd think she'd be good as a chicken shit heel who depends on cheating and outside muscle to win. And sometimes she looks a little like that ... but keeps on beating everyone clean in the end (even in a handicap situation like Elimination Chamber). In a reasonable world, you'd think Asuka is being built up to be the one that takes her down at Wrestlemania. But now I wouldn't be surprised for Asuka to job cleanly to bliss at Wrestlemania. Though I'm tired of the undefeated streak, and think NXT passed up some good opportunities to do away with that (like losing in a handicap match, or passing the torch to another wrestler like Ember Moon).

Re: The 2018 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I've got no issue with Alexa. She's got better mic skills anyone else on the women's roster and it's not really her fault for how she's booked.

Asuka, I don't get. She's a hard worker but her appearance, mic work and persona just don't work imho. She should've jobbed clean to Ember at least twice in NXT. The whole "streak" thing is worthless cause she looks like a mid-90's troll doll that can't speak on the mic.

There are too many PPVs.

The fewer PPVs,the better the product and storyline.

Bliss is awesome on the mic. Afterwards, she gave a helleva promo. So far, i like what they are doing with the womens division

Jarrius Robertson to receive The Warrior Award at WWE Hall of Fame ceremony
http://www.nola.com/entertainment/in...receive_t.html

I'm fine with the WWE version of the Warrior award but I still feel that WWE should recognize the backstage employees, like Howard Finkel, Jim Johnston and others alike, like Warrior wanted. The whole Warrior awards more for the stuff like the tweet below by Steph

Am I the only one that cringes constantly when watching Sasha Banks? I feel like everything she does is just a major botch waiting to happen.

No doubt sheís the best woman on the mic. Especially when you consider how truly awful so many of the women are. Iím just not a fan of much of her booking.

Doesnít really matter since Iím pretty sure Iím taking a break from WWE at least until Wrestlemania. The Roman Reigns build up is going to be nauseating. And thereís only so many times I can handle Nakamura telling Styles in awful broken English that heís going to beat him.

You know, a sneak attack would probably be more effective if said attacker's theme music wouldn't hit right before it happened. I heavily doubt kicking Nia Jax in her big ass would hurt her.

Now I want to see a wrestler get mad at a production guy for spoiling their sneak attack with music!

Flipped over to Raw just in time to see Sasha Banks lying in pain on the floor while a fan asks her “Why are you such a bad friend?”

It's like a terrible soap opera.

This whole Ronda Rousey is the lamest shit I ever seen. Slamming Triple H and him actually appearing hurt is ridiculous comedy. Who the fuck buys into this shit? Probably the fat joe six packs.

Back in the days WWF was the shit. Those legends are now gone.

Umm, well a good Reigns promo I guess if they are going to play the storyline of Brock as part-timer and Reigns as loving the business...you know, Rock/Cena 101.

The problem with this angle when Rock and Cena had it was that people completely empathize with the Rock as he went on to bigger things. In the case of Lesnar, Roman is actually echoing what the Internet and the majority of people think. Lesnar is simply cashing in a huge paycheck to stay at home while everyone else in the roster is busting their asses. Lesnar isn't doing movies or even promoting WWE while he's out. Like Reigns said, Lesnar is an entitled bitch. I hope they keep going with this storyline because is the only way people will side with Roman.

By the way, does anyone care if Cena is at Wrestlemania? Seriously, can't the fan reaction be more obvious? People are tired of him. He has X-Pac heat.

Cena acted like a spoiled brat last night. So he didn't get his way on Raw, he's going to take his ball and go to Smackdown. It will be a joyous day when Cena retires.

And the whole free agent thing with Cena is just pure bullshit to use as an excuse to go to both shows without having to explain storyline wise.

The only way I would watch Raw and or Smackdown if they made Cena and Reigns a heel tag team.

So is Cena going to Smackdown to get fed Styles?

I didn't watch last night but surely no one wants to see that, even though they put on a great series of matches last year.
