The Rams Sammy Watkins to the Chiefs, 3 years $48 million, $30 million guaranteed. Than Dallas Linebacker Anthony Hitchens is joining the Chiefs as well.

Welcome to mediocrity, they name is Minnesota.

Trust me, you were better off with Keenum.

Interesting. Most thought he'd follow his position coach Matt Eberflus to Indy.

I don't really know much about who the Chiefs signed, but they need more help at CB since trading Marcus Peters.

Amen, Cousins will never win a playoff game.

While Keenumís year may have been partially a fluke, and Cousinís ceiling is similar, the money spent will hurt. With that much spent on the starter, I doubt we can afford either Bridgewater or Bradford as a backup, and thatís even less money available to lock up that defense that has some big contracts approaching.

Shame that Watkins couldn't come back to LA. But, he would have been a really expensive re-signing and the Rams have some depth at WR and TE that he wasn't a "must" signing.

I mean, how much money is Bridgewater (or even Bradford) really going to demand on the open market? If they feel like the Vikes are a good team, they should look at the example of Foles (assuming nobody's dumb enough to offer them a starting gig).

The astonishing thing about the Cousins deal is the historic fully guaranteed nature of the contract. I'm surprised it hasn't happened before.

And that Green Bay will have Aaron Rodgers for only a couple million more than what Minnesota is paying Cousins.

Good for Cousins I guess. I don't know how he fell into obtaining such a colossally inflated market value, but I can't blame the guy for cashing in on it.

If they keep Bradford, Cousins will have a very short leash with the fans.

It's pretty damn obvious how - that the Redskins management (a term I use loosely) is dumb as shit.

I had my issues with Cousins, but wish him well, and think he'll do fine for Minny (certainly an upgrade over Keenum).

My source tells me the Cards should land Bradford now that Cousins is going to Minnesota.

Re: Official 2018 NFL Off-Season Thread

Bradford signing with the Cards tomorrow seems official now. NFL Network now reporting.

1-year $20M deal with another $20M option.

Pretty expensive for a oft-injured QB.

I can't think of another person in sports history who has made more money than Bradford and been on the field less.

Wow, Jets negotiating deal with Teddy Bridgewater.

That would be interesting if it happens.

Call me crazy, but I think this is an upgrade for Minny... not by a large amount, but Keenum was a flash-in-the-pan and Denver is going to regret signing him.

Cousins has a good O-line now, a defense that'll give him plenty of field position and some offensive weapons he just didn't have in Washington. As a Lions fan, I'm bummed he signed instead of Bradford or Bridgewater... or Keenum.

$20M seems about standard for a mediocre veteran QB.

Vikings sign Sonny Jurgensen Jr(Cousins). Yet another overrated QB that has yet too win a playoff game.

I think that's a worthwhile gamble at the right price. He could turn into a viable franchise qb.

I am. Cards weren't making a big splash with a guy like Cousins. This is stop gap measure. I fully expect them to move up in the draft now to take a QB to sit for a year. They are hot and heavy on Mayfield according to my source. Not sure how it all shakes out but this move seems to indicate they will do something like I am thinking they will.

Re: Official 2018 NFL Off-Season Thread

I wonder if Denver still picks a QB in the first round and Keenum again gets a short rope.

I just realized Palmer finally retired and the guy the Cards get to replace him is even more brittle. And their featured running back is also coming off of a lost season (but man the PPR possibilities if both stay healthy and Bradford just checks down again and again and again).
