Browns fire their VP Sashi Brown.

But, Hue Jackson will remain as coach.

I figured he would be given another shot. It's not his fault that he has such shitty talent on his team.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...-for-treatment

NFL.com says that Shazier returned to Pittsburgh for more treatment. Nothing else is mentioned other waiting until the swelling recedes.

Eagles/Rams should be a good one, but I think it would have had more drama if it were an Eagles home game.

Decent matchup tonight for a Thursday Game, I hope I am wrong but if the Chiefs continue to lose and miss the playoffs I could see Mahomes being the starting QB next year.

The only way Mahomes isn't the starting QB next year is if Smith leads them to a Super Bowl win ( ) or if Mahomes gets injured ( ).
You don't spent two #1s and a #3 on a QB you don't plan on using.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 14

http://thecomeback.com/nfl/warren-mo...arassment.html

Damn, Warren Moon accused of sexual assault and battery.

Taking a leave of absence from Seahawks broadcasts.

A California woman who worked for a sports marketing firm led by Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit alleging that the retired football star required her to wear thong underwear and share his bed during business trips.

The lawsuit, filed Monday in Orange County, Calif., also alleges that Moon, 61, committed sexual battery by grabbing the woman’s crotch during a trip to Seattle this year. The suit further accuses Moon of pulling off the woman’s bathing suit after slipping a drug into her drink during a separate trip to Mexico in October.

…The plaintiff, Wendy Haskell, 32, was hired as Moon’s executive assistant in July and traveled with him on a weekly basis for speaking engagements, charity events and personal appearances, according to the lawsuit. She alleges that she was demoted by the firm in October after she complained about Moon’s sexual advances.

…According to the new lawsuit, Moon required Haskell to stay in his hotel room during business trips, sleep in the same bed and wear “skimpy thong lingerie bottoms” as nightclothes. When she protested, he replied that she had to comply to keep her job and said that “his prior assistant accepted the same arrangement,” the lawsuit states.

Life-long Pats fan here and I doubt I'll tune in for MNF. I expect a snooze fest, which won't warrant staying up.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 14

I only mention it because of all the talk about ratings declining. The protests and/or discussion around it never bothered me but bad games will certainly have me tune out, even if it's my home team. The NFL is getting more like the NBA, where you can basically predict the playoff picture at the beginning of the season. The disparity between good and bad teams is growing, making more and more games a bore to watch.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 14

We've had at least three #6 Seeds win the Super Bowl in the past 15 years or so. It's hardly the NBA in that regard.

Anyone else watching the Thursday Night Football game on a phone via Amazon Prime? Their streaming service is first-rate. Not only does the stream look fantastic and never gets inturrupted or buffered (except when some asshole - or my wife - calls me during the game ), but the stream is actually AHEAD of the TV broadcast by about 15-20 seconds. I really enjoy watching it this way. Hope they keep it for next season.
Wish ESPN could have arraigned the same deal for their MNF broadcasts using their app.

Saw a report that said Ryan Shazier's NFL career is probably over. It would be really difficult for him to come back from this spinal injury.

When a guy can't move his lower body after a hit, that's a pretty safe guess.

I just hope he'll be able to walk again.

Yeah. What a ridiculous assertion. At least half of the playoff field is likely to be different. A decent chance of 8 new teams. And we are on track for 6 different division champs than last year. This is about the worst season to use as an example of playoff predictability.

As for Prime, I tried it for a little bit on my tablet once. It was decent.

Keep in mind, when a Patriots fan is talking about "the NFL in general", they really mean "specifically, the Patriots"

If Rodgers returns in form and Green Bay sneaks in it could become four.

Do Atlantans know their team made the Super Bowl last year and are playing in a brand new amazing stadium this year? Judging by all the empty seats, I'm guessing they don't.

Very un-Brees like at the end. He forced that into a sea of red (and I liked those Falcons color rush unis). I think he forgot that Jimmy Graham isn't his TE anymore.

I haven't tried it on my phone yet, but I have watched several games (including most of last night's) through the Amazon Video channel on our Roku. The first game I watched was behind the TV broadcast by close to two minutes (and the stream was 2-3 plays behind the scoring updates in the Yahoo! fantasy app), but it's steadily improved over the course of the season.

My only complaint about it now is the number of times I have to watch Pat Jr. bike around the city and ask what a computer is.

I watch on the NFL app which runs perfect for me and looks great. Also about 10-15 seconds ahead of the tv broadcast

He has 10 days to recover so hopefully he is back.

At least Chris Hogan might play again after 2 months off.

Is it safe to say the Saints are overrated?

Maybe their D put up numbers against bad offenses.
