We need a poll. Will Jerry Jones sue the NFL?

Yup, court denies his injunction,

He won't be back until Week 16

NFL Network says he's really out of options.

These Seahawk uniforms almost blend in with the turf.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 10

I love the all white Color Rush uniforms - those look really sharp imo. Not into the 'action green'... but hey, as usual...a close, physical Hawks game. The issue last week was the offensive penalties... so far those have been kept to a minimum, but the defense was hit with ticky tack flags. So, it's a bit unfair to compare the overall penalties to last wk imo.

The Cardinals defense should be taken out back and shot.

Devastating injuries tonight...Sherman might be done for the season.

Update: And he is.

I know the rest of the country hates Sherman, but I like him, and he's really important to the defense.

Both Eric Berry and Richard Sherman tore their Achilles playing Thursday Night Football. I think they should get rid of Thursday Night Football. Football is a brutal game and I don't think you have enough time to recover from playing on Sunday and then having to play on Thursday.

TNF is a money generator for the league, especially with the TV deals. Doubtful they dump it anytime soon. Maybe at the next CBA talks after the 2021 season the players might ask to dump it.

Not hard to figure out why the league is losing fans when success each season is largely based on which team loses the fewest of their best players.

Why not cut down on Thursday night games, than have Saturday games in December when the College Football regular season is done. I always like those extra games on Saturdays in December.

This piece was Written by Richard Sherman last December, but he gives some pretty good reasons for hating TNF.

Why not add a second Bye week and only play TNF games (or London games) coming off a bye? Who cares if the Super Bowl is a week later if it cuts down on injuries?

These injuries happen on Sundays too.

I've been saying to have only teams coming off a bye week play Thursday games for a couple years now. It's really a pretty simple solution to the problem.

Imagine there are stats somewhere on the frequency of injuries on short weeks.

Doug Gottlieb was talking about this on his radio show today. They said the stats show that there isn't much difference in injuries for the days.

This articles says about the same as well (from a few years ago), but also notes that the data is not public, so it cannot be validated.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 10

John Clayton was on local radio this morning discussing the injuries related to TNF. I guess his data shows that it's indeed worse for games related to TNF. But he tracks missed starts, and only for those that were starters before the injury. He also counts those that can't play on TNF because they didn't have enough recovery time after the previous Sunday.

Don't the players themselves say they don't feel ready to play on Thursday? That would carry more weight to me than stats.

Itís been a money generator for the NFL, but how is it faring for the networks broadcasting the game? I donít know any data, but I would suspect the fact that TNF has been bounced across a number of networks means it hasnít been that big of a payday for them.

Just this year alone TNF has aired on NFL Nework, NBC, CBS, Amazon Prime, and Twitter.
