Re: College Football Week 8, 2017.

So in Prime Time on Saturday you could watch #2 Penn State host #19 Michigan on ABC or see #11 USC travel to South Bend to take on #13 Notre Dame on NBC. But why would you when you can see history being made on Fox which will be nationally televising #4 TCU hosting the 1-5 and just awful Kansas Jayhawks. TCU is opening as a 37 point favorite and KU has been under-performing against the spread by an NCAA-worst 15 points a game. Enjoy that one USA! With a loss, KU ties Western State (CO) 1928-1936 teams for the major-college record with their 44th consecutive road loss!

Death, Taxes, Tom Herman covering as an underdog (+7). Hokey OT notwithstanding. Will keep betting him as a dog until he loses. Loved that pick. Was dreading another OT round.

Okie State sucks. The Texas punter was the MVP.

Good start to the day. Also had BC +7.

Now I need a nap.

I am flabbergasted at how ASU's defense has turned around within the last 3 games. It's like they've traded away their entire team for new players. Amazing.

Bama covers the 36/37, give or take.

The SEC is basically a snorefest. Maybe the Georgia/Auburn game will be interesting.

OU was down, came back, took control, and gave that away. Fun to watch. Love the B12 games.

I think I've seen enough -- this is going to be a blowout in Happy Valley. I don't think Michigan will move the ball at all.

Darnold first play of the game, gets the ball ripped away from him after he fumbles the snap. First play. They can keep hyping him as a great NFL QB but at some point he's going to play himself out of the first round.

Re: College Football Week 8, 2017.

Auburn at Arkansas: Auburn's first TD scored after a long play leaving 1st and 10 on the Arkansas 15. Arkansas makes a substitution blunder leaving only 9 men on defense so Auburn quickly lines up to run a play. An Arkansas defender notices they have no D-linemen on the field and are generally missing a small handful of players, so he falls down faking an injury. Auburn runs a play and strolls into the end zone for an easy TD. The Arkansas defender who fell haplessly to the ground faking an injury then jumps up and goes Rumplestilksin on the officials for not blowing play dead for his fake injury.

Beat down in South Bend. P12 is fucked. Apparently this USC QB is the 1st pick in the draft.

Michigan hanging in there.

The most enjoyable conference for me is the MAC!

So assuming Michigan doesn’t make a comeback, year 3 of the Harbaugh era will most likely finish with another season of finishing no better than 3rd in the B1G East and losing records against MSU and tOSU.

Whichever Fox executive made it so the ALCS is on FS1 while KU football is part of the Saturday prime time game is probably updating his resume right now.

It's not an executive decision, it's the television deals they signed. ALCS is on FS1, NLCS is on TBS. WS on Fox. Way it's been for past few years.

PSU -2.5 2nd H pays...easiest bet ever.

I was amazed that Michigan hung around for the 1st half. Should have been an even bigger blowout.

Re: College Football Week 8, 2017.

Told y'all you'd be missing out on some history if you skipped the Jayhawks tonight. Not only did they tie the 81-year old record for consecutive road losses (which was an absolute certanty) in their 43-0 drubbing at the hands of #4 TCU, but in an unexpected nod to history they racked up a Big XII-record, and worst-in-20-years FBS mark with 21, yes, 21 yards of offense. Give Dave Beatty some credit : 18 of those came after the break, as the 'Hawks were outgained 305-3 in the first half. Any time you can sextuple your total yardage in the second half, that's some sort of a moral victory, right?

After 33 games as Michigan head coach:
Brady Hoke: 25-8
Jim Harbaugh: 25-8

Hoke went 6-12 after that before being fired. Maybe Harbaugh will fare better.

Re: College Football Week 8, 2017.

Lousy football in San Diego last night.

There's something seriously wrong with the Aztecs, as this isn't the same team that dominated ASU and beat Stanford.

Fresno's good this year (Tedford has made a huge difference already), but SDSU isn't as bad as we've seen for the last two games.

Young (almost all Freshmen) O-Line, injuries on that line, lots of little, nagging injuries on defense, and a stubborn OC have hurt, but it's hard to figure out how a team that good could get so bad so quickly.

Fresno IS a good team this year, though. They're going to seriously contend for the MWC title.
