2017 NFL Regular Season Thread--Week 3

Maybe now we can use this thread instead of creating a new thread for every week or waiting until the OP creates one.

Sad tonight is the only primetime game for the Niners in 2017.

Falcons @ Lions is the game of the week. Raiders @ Redskins should be good too on SNF.

I would not mind if the Lions win the NFC.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread

One has to wonder if this will be the lowest rated Thursday night game all season. There isn't even a flashy rookie to draw people in. Maybe if it was later in the season, and the Rams really have improved some, people would be more interested.

Why wait? Anyone can create a weekly thread.

LorenzoL does the bulk of them, but he has said he doesn't mind anyone else doing it.

I'm worried about our Rams game in a few weeks, I'll be watching the first half just to check them out.

Definitely one of the examples of one team just having another teams number despite their performance in every other game that season. If the o-line doesn't improve it would be another 10-6 nail biter.

I still like the weekly threads, does that mean no one wants them anymore?

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread

we need a weekly thread, not a season long thread for NFL. way more action than baseball.

Dear God it is painful being a 9ers fan this year. I expected things to at least get a little better!

Nuts, Hyde is my only reliable back on one team and now he's dinged up.

No, it means one person is suggesting we go to a yearly model.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread

For a game featuring two crappy teams and that's having sloppy plays, the first half offered a pretty decent game.

So far better than most games from crapfest that was Week 2.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread

Sorry, this week was busy for me and I forgot about the weekly thread. My bad! But as David said, anyone can start it up too. I have no ownership in creating it.

I like weekly threads and I’ll do my best in creating it on Wednesday.

Is it still expected they'll land Captain Kirk next year? Certainly played us tough last week... both teams seem to be moving the ball pretty well tonight.

Speaking of this concept, they were repeating this on the radio all day but the only team the 49ers have beaten in the last 22 games are the Rams, three times (they are 0-19 against every other team in that span). That streak will seemingly end today but that's kind of amazing.

I would think that will come down to where they end up in the draft order. They could go with one of the top picks rather than throw tons of money at Kirk if he has a down year. They need a lot more than just a QB to have a shot at the playoffs. Overspending on a QB is not how you get there.

This 49ers Rams game is actually pretty entertaining. I guess the over is paying off pretty well, lol.

Nice try on the 2. Now the Rams just need to do smart clock usage.
