That was uncalled for. There was no need for those sons-of-bitches to drag that old man to center court and force him to his knees in front of the country like that. Then they hoist him back up and drag him off. This isn't Weekend at Bernie's. Disgusting. Bad ratings!

The Dallas crowd was certainly very loud. I was in the other room when Dallas scored their first TD, didn't know what was going on, and the cheering made me think that Arizona had taken the ball. You don't have that happen in a lot of stadiums.

It happened in San Diego a lot when the Raiders, Packers, Steelers, or some other team with a big following showed up.

There were also a lot of loud Seahawks fans there in TEN. I was surprised given it's TEN rather than SF, LA, or AZ. But on every great play or score (not nearly enough of them) the volume of the crowd was just as loud, if not louder, than when the Titans did the same things.

Probably was much worse back in the 90s when the Cards played at Sun Devil Stadium.

The Titans have been mediocre for a long time. They haven't been to a playoff game since 2008. If they start winning consistently, I think that will go away. A lot of season ticket holders would rather sell their seats and make a chunk of money off the sale then watch the team play mediocre football.

Yes.

That video is hardly evidence that there were more Cowboy fans than Cardinals fans. I could take that same video at any stadium and see something similar.

Most people here either forget, or don't know (pretty sure this is more likely) that Phoenix was essentially a "home" market for the Cowboys until 1988. All of their home games were on TV here. If you grew up in AZ, pre-Cardinals, that may have been your favorite team growing up because that is what you got to watch on TV. My uncle used to be a huge Cowboys fan growing up (he's in his late 50's) because that is what was on broadcast TV here. Once the Cards came to town, he switched allegiances. I have no doubt many of the Cowboy fans in AZ are likely from households who had that allegiance.

Nevertheless, it is hilarious that people are trying to make it out to be more than it is. I've been to numerous games at the new stadium, with all sorts of teams, and I can say with 100% certainty that Cardinals fans always outnumber the opposing fans.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread--Week 3

I don't have a dog in this fight. I'm 100% ambivalent to all things NFC. It could have just been where the broadcaster's mics were located, but it sure sounded more like a Cowboy home game than a Cards one on TV. There were cheers with every Cowboy completion and every Cards penalty. As someone who was just casually watching and listening to the game as I ran on a treadmill, I found it very confusing -- I'd here a big cheer and looked up to see what the Cards did only to find out it was a positive play for the visiting Cowboys.

Amazed how the cowboys can rush only 3 and still get to Palmer. BA and Palmer need to go. I went to a few games last season but then will be hard pressed to break .500 this year

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread--Week 3

Got back from Green Bay insanely late - our bus left after the game and we pretty much drove straight thru to Cincinnati all night. With GB traffic, plus stops, it took us 10-11 hours and we didn't get in until a quarter to 8am. I crashed there that morning, and took all day Tuesday to get caught back up at work.

Damn! What a fun trip! Awesome folks, awesome food, awesome stadium. If you're an AFC fan, and your team only makes it up to Lambeau once every 8 years, it's a pilgrimage I *highly* recommend. We got in on Friday and did a stadium tour and a stop by the Packers Pro Shop....

"Watchu lookin' at Coach?"

Saturday was a down day - several of us hit some local bars to watch NCAA while a few went to the Casino. I did both. We hung out in Appleton most of the day, and I was... intrigued... to find this:

A museum... of trout.

But Sunday - what a day! We headed up to GB and arrived at 11am for a 4-hour tailgate party next the the Resch Center - that's the oval hockey arena in the photo below, just 2 blocks "above" Lambeau and just beyond the circular building:

And boy, was it HOT! They claim it was the hottest regular season game in GB history, and that's saying a lot considering how much history GB has.

More to come...

Wow, for Wisconsin that's pretty warm. Cool pictures, my sister lives up there I hope I can get to see the stadium one day.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread--Week 3

Went inside at 3 for the 3:30 kickoff. Was thrilled to find that our seats were two of the few that were in the shade:

Here's a rare sight, a Bengals TD:

The locals - inside the stadium and out - were universally friendly and gracious. Unlike Cleveland, Philly, Pittsburgh, Oakland and Jacksonville, we had no issues at all being a visitor and were treated like friends/family wherever we went. The family in front of us had a daughter who was hearing-impaired and who was signing back and forth with her Mom. I know ASL (used to have a deaf g/f), so after checking with her Mom first to make sure it was okay, I chatted with the daughter. Turns out she's been losing her hearing since early childhood and though she wore these big honkin' hearing aids it was inevitable that she was going to soon be 100% deaf. They thought it was great that random folks who knew sign language were willing to be friendly and talk, because the daughter could certainly use the practice.

Right behind me were a couple of college girls. During the 3rd/4th quarter break, the stadium pumped in some music and everyone was supposed to stand and jump up-and-down - apparently they do the same thing at Badger games. As I was sitting there, I overheard the gal right behind me say something that you'll probably only hear in Wisconsin:

"Sorry, I can't jump, I don't want to step on my cheese."

Posted that to FB, then showed it to her and she posed for a selfie (she's the blonde):

No, we didn't come back with a win, but we came back with terrific memories. Again, if you've never been to Lambeau and you only infrequently get an excuse to see your team play there, you really need to go. The experience is unlike what you get in any other stadium or in any other town. Green Bay is remote and has only 100K people... the stadium would hold 80K of them. It's just amazing.

I just realized, the last two Bengal roadtrips I've been on were to Wembley and Lambeau. How cool is that? And yeah, both games went to OT and we won neither, but that's life as a Bengals fan.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad you had a great time. When someone sees the high school style aluminum bleacher seats it is hard to explain to them how the experience at Lambeau can possibly compare to one at a 'modern' stadium. How do you explain it is part of the charm and the entire point? I tell friends that are fans of other teams and have never been that you have to go to Lambeau for a game at least once. I am happy for you that you got our chance.

BTW, are those blonde Jordy's glasses hanging from your jersey in the pic after hers?
