I wish the Chiefs could pull off an upset, but I don't see it happening.

I'm going to find out how reliable or crappy the DAZN streaming service will be this NFL season.

Elliot suspension upheld.

Zeke still plays Sunday. Off to the courts this goes. Goodell chose the wrong mountain to die on.

Really looking forward to seeing how well Richardson fits into the Seahawks DL. I wouldn't want to be an opposing offense on 3rd and long going against Avril, Bennet, Richardson, and Clark.

It'll be kind of like this:

And somehow Tom Brady still ended up serving his 4 game suspension. Sure, he gave up the fight, but I am pretty sure they saw the writing on the wall.

It's about proving the NFL discipline process was unfair. Brady coudn't, Zeke might. While the NFL/Henderson was ruling on the appeal, Zeke/lawyers were in court for the injunction hearing:

Judge will give his decision on the injunction on Friday.

But Elliot is starting this Sunday, and if it's not delayed his suspension will begin week 2. So odd.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 01

Bucs/Dolphins game officially moved to week 11. Sucks for players to have to play 16 weeks straight

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 01

I think they should have just canceled game altogether and then if needed just play after reg season. It's not like either team is likely playoff bound.

I'd love to hear Roger Goodell announce and explain that decision and justification.

The best rationale against that I heard this morning is that it really fucks the city and fans of the home home that was lost. Sometimes it's hard to believe it can be true when a team sucks, but it's still true.

I also have no idea how anybody could count out both of those teams at this point. Maybe if it was the Jets and the Browns.

Both teams have playoff aspirations. And when after the season would they play? Isn't the wild card playoffs the weekend after the regular season? Where would they squeeze this in?

And that doesn't even address lost revenue AND draft pick position.

I just want Goodell to say how committed they are to player safety again.

They could push everything back a week and just give both teams a compensatory pick.

Your solutions clearly make more sense than just flipping the bye weeks.
