In every mock, I had taken OBJ at #4, but when Julio jumped to #3, I took Brown, and now OBJ and his injuries/suspensions are someone else's problem. I still love him as a player, though.

Well, all I know is that CJ Anderson better have a decent game since he's replacing ObJ in my lineup.

I'm not sure if I should be more worried about Allen Robinson, who got hurt on a non contact play, or TY Hilton, who is in the Indy "offense."

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2017

I honestly can't tell you what we pay CBS for (meaning what do we get). It was an existing league I was invited to join (maybe six years ago?) and I've never played anywhere else. I have no comparison.

The app actually had always been great and I do like the interface (for the most part). Today it has been running slow and not updating. Never had that problem before (that I can remember).

My knocks on CBS are all about the analysis and tools they provide. For example, it is not uncommon for a player profile/news to NOT get any updates for 2 weeks. While setting my WR lineup this week, most of my WR haven't had any news/updates in 2 weeks: Tyrelle Pryor, Kelvin Benjamin, Kenny Britt, Delaney Walker (TE), and Pierre Garçon.

CBS also tries to sell every player high in their projections. CJ Fiedorowicz to put up 8.6 points this week? Yeah, right ... It would be interesting to add up all CBS's projected points for a week and see what kind of a football game would be needed to produce those numbers.

And a Witten touchdown ...

I saw that! I was leaning Perkins anyway.

I'm the commissioner of my league and I can tell you that any of the free FF service will give your league the same thing that you get from CBS for free. Inaccurate projections or your app not loading, well the free FF services have it. We use ESPN because we like the options that it provides and its aesthetically pleasing than Yahoo. Also, this year on iOS, the ESPN FF app provides stickers through iMessage which I really like.

In all seriousness, ESPN has been improving and has been consistent. No serious complaints from our league.

That was a bonus I was not expecting though it would have been better if Dez caught that.

Glad I did not have the #1 pick and took David Johnson since I have him in zero leagues.

In my last draft, the owner with the first pick skipped Johnson and took Bell, who had a dud first game but at least he's healthy and not yet suspended.

Let's not act like any of you wouldn't trade the best RB on your roster for Bell or Johnson in a heartbeat, even with the dud opening games for both.

EDIT: Just saw the news that Johnson could be out for awhile. Damn. I didn't have the first pick in any leagues so I don't have him, but he's fun to watch.

Anyway good week for me. I should win every matchup.

Pretty sure I read that Robinson tore his ACL.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2017

Robinson, Woodhead, and Kevin White are on my rosters. I may be working the waiver wire even more than the usual Week 2.

Yeah, that came out shortly after I posted. Still at least he's out of the lineup. Now to wait nervously for the David Johnson prognosis.

It's weird to see how the pre draft thinking changes from year to year. Last year was the year everyone said to take wide receivers early (I realize David Johnson and Elliot hadn't established themselves and Leveon had his annual suspension). Like you were a fool to take anyone but Brown or Julio at 1/2, just like this year with Bell/DJ. Then it reversed again this year. And I'm watching the Pitt game thinking, why didn't I at least think about picking up Antonio Brown over Bell or Johnson?

Is the Packers D legit or just looked good against a bad Seattle O line?

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2017

So who do you think should be the waiver wire priority this week for David Johnson owners: Kerwynn Williams or Tarik Cohen (standard scoring)

I know the latter better than the former, and I'm going with the latter.

Hard to say. Williams has a clearer path, but as a Howard owner I'm really concerned about Cohen.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2017

The bad thing about rolling waivers... if you drafted David Johnson, you probably did so with the top pick, so if nobody used waivers yet you're at the end of the line.

To add insult to injury, don't the Cards get the dreadful Colts defense next week?

ESPN default (which my league with DJ is) resets waiver number each week in inverse order of the standings. I could have as high as the #2 pick

That's what we have, and the same teams often get top prio every week. We asked to change it (among other things) after last year, but I think the commish just forgot.

I squeaked by in both leagues with a win this week. Despite losing David Johnson.
