Re: 2017 NBA Draft - June 22, 2017

I hear that Josh Jackson is being an asshole and won't work out or release his medical records to the Celtics without a guarantee that they'll draft him. That makes him a risky choice for Boston and they'll probably (hopefully) take Tatum.

Re: 2017 NBA Draft - June 22, 2017

He released his medical records finally, but it's puzzling to me why he's doing it unless he just really wants to be in Phoenix or something. I can understand not wanting to be dangled like a piece of meat, but this is the team that won a ton of games last year, why wouldn't you want to go there?

Who can tell what these guys are thinking. Maybe he'd rather go to a thinner team where he can be The Man, kinda like going to a smaller college program (of course he went to Kansas so who knows).

One thing I am absolutely certain of in this Draft : Whomever the Spurs pick at #29, it will be hailed as a brilliant, savvy move that will cause the experts to wonder why this particular player wasn't taken ten picks earlier.

one rumor I read was that he wants to get lots of PT, and doesn't see that happening on the Cs.

Maybe he just hates the Celtics, as any rational basketball fan should.

That would be a red flag to me(I mean, cmon, earn it) but who knows what he's thinking?

Suns already have TJ Warren as well, and Sacramento needs a point guard, so unless he wants to fall further than that, I don't know what he's expecting. I mean this is a team that supposedly traded down because they liked you so much.

Also, I'm sure everyone already knows this but the Lakers traded Deangelo, it's pretty much a lock they'll draft Lonzo Ball (or Fultz if the 76ers draft Ball).

I'm comfortable in my irrationality.

After all, even Paul Pierce hated the Celtics at one point.

Of course that was before he was made aware of their crack medical team.

I don't miss the days of being irrelevant and ignored.

That's the thing--he knows they wanted him, and it's not like he's negotiating better terms because they can draft him whether he likes it or not. And it's not like he's Embiid and the medicals will be critical. Maybe he's hoping they'll trade down again?

This is the problem when you draft players from winning programs who lead their teams deep into the tournament.

TJ Warren is probably not a starter in the league. I mean he's a good scorer, but he's not a lead dog type scorer. The Suns already have Bledsoe and Booker to handle the load in that regard.

Jackson would fit the Suns perfectly. Great defender, doesn't dominate the ball, but can get his. He's a little like Shawn Marion in that respect.

Plus, I think Warren's best role is the 2nd unit scorer. So that would place him in a situation where he can succeed.

Fultz is number one. No surprise there.

Ball will be number two.

Wow, Butler to the Wolves. That's a great pickup by the Wolves. Towns, Wiggins and Butler make a great trio.

Woj is reporting the Celts and Pacers are in serious talks for Paul George. Don't be surprised if Tatum is part of that deal.

Happy to get Tatum, if he stays. Having another scoring option will be a plus.
