I don't know if I've ever had less interest in a Super Bowl than this one. One team I despise and the other I simply don't care about.

Hopefully a high scoring game.

Yeah, need to add a "I won't be watching and don't care who wins" option to this one. This might be the first SB I skip in a long while. Blah.

I think it could be a lot more interesting than people think. The Falcons are the only team with enough offensive firepower to keep Tom Brady off the field. Falcons 31, Patriots 28.
Mind you, I think at least we won't be dealing with the distraction of the soap opera that is the Giants or (increasingly) Packers.

I'm sure the NFL would only want to see the Patriots in the Super Bowl if they were facing the Packers for that Brady / Rodgers matchup.
Right now it's just another Patriots Super Bowl appearance which most people are probably sick of. The NFL is probably praying for the Falcons to win this to change things up - especially since they've never won a Superbowl before.

I feel the same, but I'll be honest with you - I had even less interest when the Ravens took on the 49ers several years back. At least the Falcons are somewhat likable.

While I'm on the "hate Patriots/don't care about Falcons" train, I actually think this has all the makings of a fun Super Bowl. Two top notch offenses should make this a really high scoring game.
And while I can see the Falcons flat out outscoring the Patriots, I think this game will ultimately tilt on which defense makes a critical big play. And I think the Pats are far more likely to be the team that does that.
Patriots 37-30

The "drive for 5" has one more stop. Atlanta really scares me and even though Matty Ice is very good normally, this year he is just insane and I can only hope that he pulls a Cam Newton who had a similar path last year and just collapsed in the big game. Normally I would love to see Matt win but not against the Pats of course.
Even if I wasn't a Pats fan I would love to see them win just due to the Roger Goodell awkwardness of having to hand over the trophy given the circumstances. Considering how he has done everything to avoid being in the same stadium as the Patriots, it will be delicious thinking about his salty tears if they are lucky enough to win. It will take a bit of luck for either team to win as both are so good.

Pretty much hate both teams, Patriots because I'm human, Falcons for 1998; but I'm always excited for the Super Bowl. Don't really care who wins, hopefully find a fun party to attend.

Another Super Bowl pretty much guarantees Brady goes down as the greatest QB of all time. He's likely already there but another win would keep Montana's supporters quiet.

Hate the Pats and am kinda lukewarm on the Falcons. But this doesn't look like a snoozer so I'll watch.

I'm already sick of the "Belichick takes away your best player" talking point. Everyone gameplans to counter their opponent's strengths, it's defense 101.

But you simply cannot deny that Belichick is unusually successfully at it, thus the talking point. However, in this case the Falcons offense is so diverse, taking Julio (e.g.) out of the game doesn't help them that much.

Many teams talk about shutting down players, but few succeed at the rate Belichick does. And his teams have done it with a team approach for the most part. Not just throwing a great CB on a WR and calling it good.
As much as a I dislike him and his team, it's pretty hard to deny Belichick isn't one of the best NFL coaches ever.
But that said, I'm thinking the Falcons have the offense going enough right now to outscore the Pats. Basically just too much to handle even if they do take away Julio.
