Simms still has a job with Inside the NFL on Showtime.
Since Tony Gonzalez just left, I could see him either moving into the studio to replace Tony or being downgraded to the 2nd or 3rd team.
Honestly, I'm curious why he's such a hated analyst. He doesn't bother me like many of you whenever I've seen a Nantz and Simms telecast.

Huge Tony Romo fan now. No more Simms on the top CBS game.
They can always bump him down to #3 and reunite him with Gumbel. They'd be stupid to break up Bird and Beard.

Apparently the Marshawn Lynch to the Raiders talk is heating up again. That could help ease the pain a little assuming he can keep their running game at the same level they were last season.

The Seahawks GM has also confirmed that he is in talks with the Raiders GM. Looks like this is really happening. Good for Oakland, I guess.

So Seattle still holds his rights, but Oakland can renegotiate his contract freely if they trade for him?
I guess a one year rental with the desperate hope that the hometown guy can get some people to come to a lame duck season isn't too bad, but the Raiders must have had Superbowl hopes, I don't see how this helps them, unless it's at a steep discount or something. But I'd think Marshawn would want a boatload of guaranteed money to come back.

I'm not sad to see Simms go, but the whole Romo deal reminds me of exactly how we got stuck with such a putz in the first place. Maybe it would be a good idea to have these guys demonstrate they can do the job before giving them one of the top spots in the broadcast production.

Looks like Adrian Peterson is visiting with the Saints next week.

Doesn't look like he's signing with anyone soon. Probably taking his time to see who has the best shot of competing and giving him the salary he wants.

Seahawks sure like to sign unconventional players. Cyril Grayson, an LSU track star who didn't play college football at all. He was a fifth year senior so not since 2011.
