99% sure it's for a movie role that doesn't want a crew cut

Another good promo from Cena. "Roman like your drug test, youre not getting passed me"

Cena's bald spot is probably from Vince, patting and rubbing his head...."Good boy, John, good boy"

Re: The 2017 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, posted this match on his FB account, of a team that I never knew existed and that only had one match for legal reasons as well as they simply sucked:

One of those turtles is apparently Duane Gill, aka Gillberg.

Re: The 2017 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Can someone tell how come 20 years ago when VKM got laid out by a wrestler in the middle of the ring using the "Mr. McMahon" persona he was considered a heel, yet now when it happens with him using more or less the same gimmick he's a face?

Well, back then he screwed hot babyface Bret Hart and then fought hot babyface Stone Cold. Now, Kevin Owens is probably one of the top heels and Vince is just a face because of circumstance.

When Shawn Michaels threw Marty Janetty through the Barber Shop window and Heenen said, "Janetty tried to dodge out the window to escape", I laugh my ass off every time.

The greatest heel manager/announcer ever

Re: The 2017 Pro Wrestling Thread.

He was one of the reasons I got hooked on wrestling. Too bad they didnt treat him right when he was announcing. Always giving him the bad monitor that kept going on the fritz at the worst possible time. RIP

Quite honestly, The Brain passing is the end of wrestling for me. He was the best talent ever IMO and really made the WWF shine in their glory years.

Re: The 2017 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I truly believe that the only reason Hogan got over as the big hero was because he had such a great villain in Bobby Heenan. The "Brain" was the man behind Hogan's greatest opponents, and he played the role to perfection. His commentary was also the best ever, and it's amazing how quick he made great lines. He will be missed big time. There has never been a color commentator to even come close to his level .

Re: The 2017 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Below is an illustration of how Heenan worked so well. A lot of wrestlers have the ring skills, but not so much on the mic. Back in the day Heenan was a master of getting guys over as heels without them really having to say too many words. This is something WWE is sorely lacking today, with the possible exception of Heyman and Lesnar.

Re: The 2017 Pro Wrestling Thread.

Bobby Heenan was the best at what he did. It's sad that he's gone. Wrestling hasn't been the same since he was no longer part of the WWF/WWE.

Bobby Heenan was only 73. That mystifies me. When he had his run in the 80's with The Heenan family, I thought he was at least 50. I thought he was way older.

No words I could say about Bobby Heenan would even scratch the surface as to how great he was at his job. My all time favorite Manager and all around guy. RIP Brain, you were the best.
