Les Miles and poor clock management are two things that always find each other.

1 second left, "the clock will restart on my signal" announced, and even though it was another 20 seconds until the whistle LSU couldn't get lined up. Oh, and that was after almost a minute and a half of referee conferencing.

No 10 second runoff on a penalty that doesn't kill the play (like a false start). Live ball foul = no runoff.

False start is a dead ball penalty (and kills the play). There would be a runoff. I probably didn't phrase my other post very well. I meant a false start is an example that does kill a play/results in a runoff.
