Seems like it's possible the Cavs will sweep again, win the Finals, and then have to endure people claiming they were not the better team because the team coming out of the West was banged up and/or tired. But right now it just looks like they are playing the best basketball of the teams that made the playoffs.

I take it the Sunday ratings are better than Saturday? It would have made more sense to skip Friday and have the Warriors play Saturday. Having the cavs play again before the warriors seems odd.

I believe that's the case. Makes sense IMO. I usually have conflicts when it comes to wanting to watch sports on Saturdays. Not so much on Sunday.

Yeah, ratings is most likely. i just threw out travel time bc Cleveland to Toronto is only ~200 miles? Oakland to OKC is 10x further.

but i guess with private planes it don't matter too much

Thunder beating the Spurs was pretty big, as well as injuries to the Clippers and Curry. The Thunder taking Game 1 was pretty surprising too. The West has been pretty interesting, in my opinion.

Now the East on the otherhand...

At the end of the day thought even if you have a private plane where naked woman are rubbing their breasts on you and feeding you grapes while you are listenting to your favorite songs on your headphone without a care in the world you are still essentially thousands of feet in the air on a giant tube that feels like a rollercoaster to your body just as much as some schmo sitting btwn 2 fat people in coach. That still has an effect on wear and tear of the body with jetlag.

In some ways yes in other ways I feel like we are lucky to be witnessing 2 teams(Cavs,OKC) who had all the individual talent in the world who finally come into their own and learned to play as a team in the playoffs. The ball movement and improved defense from both has been very impressive. Just look how many people myself included thought before the playoffs the GS-SA western finals was a given and that it would be a defacto finals.

Does Lebron get fined at all for all the flopping he does. That 3rd foul on Lowry was complete bullshit as he barely touch Lebron and Leflop flopped like the bitch he is. Also, why in the hell did Joseph get called for a tech when Tristan Thompson hit Lebron?

The refs are seriously ruining the game for everyone. The amount of missed calls is unbelievable but it's even worse when they give complete bullshit calls to Lebron like that. Right now he got blocked by Biyombo, yet they called the foul on Bismarck. It's just ridiculous.

I would say Lebron has perfected the flop except he hasn't. He's almost perfected in the sense the refs still give him the calls when he flops all over the place, but he really hasn't because most of the general public that watches his games end up bursting out laughing at his overacting. There's tons of hilarious YouTube videos out there if you want to watch some of his good comedic performances.

Almost all players in the NBA flop. If a player is not flopping he is probably not handling the ball much. And with refs watching for PI all the time, it has gotten pretty bad in the NFL too. Before long I'm sure MLB players will find a way to flop.

That would hilarious to see batters fake getting hit by pitches, or second basemen fake getting taken out on the pivot, especially watching them not get touched on the replay.
