Multiple reasons. They review the calls in every game as a way to make sure the refs are making correct calls and to hold them accountable. It's also part of their push to be more transparent with the public in regards to acknowledging bad/missed calls.

Wow at least two weeks for Curry? If only the Clips could take advantage of that...

Really disappointed about Curry's injury, hope he's able to come back strong before the Warriors are eliminated, otherwise I think the Cavs/Spurs is a foregone conclusion.
It would certainly amuse me to see the Clippers lose to a Curry less Warriors though

It's unfortunate for Golden State, would have loved to see what they can do with a healthy team. One thing I've noticed, all the supposed experts said the East was much better this year and it was up for grabs. After watching this first round I have to laugh at that.
It almost seems a farce that the teams from the west have to beat themselves up just to get to the finals while Cleveland plays a bunch of patsies.
We all know it will be Cleveland against one of the four teams from the west that are all better than them. The intrigue will be who it is.

Oh crap Paul looks like he injured his wrist just now...
Man I hate Austin rivers.
Edited to add: though I don't want him hurt too...
Ugh 3rd metacarpal on the right hand? If so he'll be out longer than Curry... The curse lives on.

If something happened and Curry-Leonard were both out for the rest of the playoffs and the Spurs and GS did not make the finals I would take Cleveland over a 100 percent healthy OKC or The Clippers without blinking.

Yeah, so much for the Clippers. They might not even make it out of the first round now with Paul gone and Griffin aggrevating his injury.

Re: 2016 NBA Playoffs Thread
Not sure what you're talking about. Cleveland was the far more talented team and three of the games in the series were winnable by Detroit up until the last few minutes where their inexperience and mistakes took over. Cleveland is at full strength and should be blowing out teams like this. The fact that they needed till the last two minutes of multiple games in a series against the team with the least playoff experience should have them worried.

Chris Paul is actually still in surgery. He will be out 4-6 weeks at least.

I... I don't even know what to say. Now I have Baby Lilliard in my head screaming "No good Clipper!" Man I have no idea what any of those guys were thinking making those State Farm commercials.

So... is this the end of Lob City yet? Paul/Griffin have 1 more year and then each have a player option, DeAndre one more after that. I imagine they hope they can finally bring in some help next year with the cap increase rather then relying on aging guys like Paul Pierce.

Re: 2016 NBA Playoffs Thread
Well they have a few built in excuses this time with Griffin getting hurt and losing his mind and now the Paul injury. Wasted a career year from Reddick. Maybe one more year but I don't see how they get better and Doc the GM is absolutely terrible so far.
Worst case scenario is that they trade Griffin for pennies because of what happened, which would backfire on them completely (unless it's for Durant or something) because he's Deandre's bud and Paul is going to force his way out at even the hint of rebuilding.

I feel that the Sterling Clippers curse got extended once DeAndre Jordan pulled that dick move in the offseason with the help of Doc Rivers, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Like Baby Lillard said: "No good Clippers"

It will be very interesting to see what the Clips do in the off-season. Clearly this current line-up has issues, even without the injuries.
Currently I'm hoping the Warriors can pull off getting back to the finals so we can have the rematch that at least I have been waiting for all year.
