Re: NFL Playoffs - Wild Card Edition

Probably won't happen, but it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to see all 4 wild card teams win.

I doubt GB will win. But the other 3... I would consider them the favorites despite being on the road.

Yeah it is hard to look favorably on the home teams, even though I am a Viking fan. GB should move on, which will be a consolation.

3 of the 4 should be solid favorites, and Washington winning a playoff game seems dicey at best.

Though I'll take Cincinnati in the pool, I won't be surprised if this is the team that shows up:

I don't know, if he plays defense, even with a few personal fouls for ripping out jugulars and some illegal hands to the face penalties, he could really be an impact player and tilt the game in Cincinnati's favor.

No surprise there. They only have 1 game each round this year.

Re: NFL Playoffs - Wild Card Edition

Dalton is OUT for tomorrow's game.

So Pittsburgh has played 6 straight games now against teams forced to play backup QBs: Charlie Whitehurst, AJ McCarron, Brock Osweiler, Ryan Mallet, Austin Davis, and AJ McCarron again.

Nobody forced the 49ers to start Mallet. It's also a stretch to state the Broncos were forced to play Osweiler given the success he was having.

Yup. That's pretty cold for a playoff game.

Ouch. Even more impressive that is was that cold in Cincy and not GB/Minny/Buff.

Sweet. Remember hearing it on the radio coming home from a youth hockey game. One of only a handful of non-Packers or Badgers sports moments that I can recall the "where were you when..."

And now all of a sudden Beast Mode is OUT.

Never trust Pete Carroll I guess.

Against Buffalo no less where they choked away a 35-3 lead in a playoff game in 1993.

It seems like they are playing better without him. I will say, though, that with a game like this, it may hurt them as you need a running game.

Re: NFL Playoffs - Wild Card Edition

Hawks will still be without their best TE as well. At least the O-Line seems to be healthy again, which could allow for their two RB cast offs to keep the CIN D from focusing on Wilson and the WR's.

Hopefully the Hawks get a score from the D or ST. Lockett's been amazing in the last few games so it's definitely a possibility.
