That was a great battle between LaVine and Gordon.

I kind of felt like Gordon should have won it.

Gordon was robbed. His were much more creative. Levine did three straight from inside the free throw line.

Yeah, I think Gordon should have won. His first 2 dunks in the finals were better.

Gordon should have won it. His dunks, especially the last 2 with the mascot were crazy and very creative. Levine was good, but he seemed to repeat himself a few times.

Best final 2 in years. These 2 guys have some serious hops.

Really don't know how they could top this one next year. I doubt Levine competes again, but Gordon should absolutely try again.

Best Finals ever. What an amazing final round. Gordon should have won, or it should have been a tie. That was SO entertaining. My son never watches sports with me but we were both rolling off the sofa enjoying that so much.

I don't think you should be able to get a height boost off of somebody/something. It's obviuosly an advantage and should be outlawed.

You may think Gordon didn't get a boost off the mascot but when he got the ball off the mascot's head he pushed down and gained another 6 inches easily.

First time ever my wife was watching this with me and seemed interested. She thought that sit down dunk over the mascot was the best too. Definitely a highly entertaining all-star saturday.

Pushed down on what? He cleared the mascot and the only thing his hands did was grab the ball. The mascot never moved at all. Hopefully ESPN can bring in that physics guy that explains how things happen. No way he got a 6 inch boost by what you are trying to say. To get that kind of a boost there would have be a noticeable push off and opposite movement from the mascot as well. That dunk was just plain SICK.

Re: The 2015 - 2016 NBA regular season thread

Personally when you take all factors into account, I feel the Jordan vs Nique' was still the best dunk contest ever. Could the dunks last night stand up to what they did, yes. But you are talking 2 HOF'ers going at it toe to toe with still IMO some of the best dunks ever. I was just rolling my eyes last night when they were trying to compare the 2 contests last night.

And at the very least the contest should have been a tie, but Gordon IMO won it.

I think he meant the 2nd dunk. But even that was barely a nudge if anything.

One thing I didn't like was in the press conference LaVine saying it was the best dunk contest of all-time. I think that was disrespectful and he didn't need to say it. Let the media and fans decide that.

Hard to compare dunk contests then and now, since the stars don't compete anymore but the creativity and difficulty has gone way up then it used to be. Just in terms of the later, it was better by far in my opinion. I don't see why it would be eye rolling.
