Still good enough to beat the Clips, though.

Oddly enough clarkson was 8-9 shooting on my previous post and then went cold and didn't score again. Good job clarkson

Kobe on the other hand just had to hit that late 3 to stretch the lead

Manu Ginobili out 4-6 weeks after suffering a testicular injury Wednesday.

There's a Vine video of him getting a knee to the nuts. Ouch!!

A feature film documentary is being made about the life about Joel Embiid, who has not played 1 minute in the NBA.

Fred Holberg is a bad coach. He insist on playing guys like E'Twan Moore and Kirk Hinrich during crucial moments instead of using Bobby Portis or Aaron Brooks. They lost a game they should have won easily in Denver. Everyone in Denver was surprised they won. Seriously, Bulls need to fire Forman and Paxon. What horrible decision makers they are.

Maybe the Cavs shouldn't have (1) fouled the layup with a four-point lead and a few seconds left then (2) have the missed free throw bounce off two of their guys to give Boston their final chance.

The best team that can beat the Warriors struggled to get a victory over the Lakers.

I'll take the victory, regardless. Onto the Miami Heat.

Re: The 2015 - 2016 NBA regular season thread

Once again the Bulls lose another game against a mediocre team in the last minutes of the game. Holberg sucks.

OKC seems to have the same problem that has hold them back from winning it all for years: Westbrook and Durant have too many isolation plays, too much one on one. Sometimes it works, but most of the time, especially in the playoff, it won't. The reason why the Spurs and Warriors have won is because they move the ball including in the clutch moments. OKC fails to do that big time.

OKC at GSW was a tight contest. The Thunder played the Dubs better than anyone thus far. They could be a factor come playoff time.

On the bright side for Golden State, their bench stepped up, Curry had a poor shooting night, and they were without Ezeli to back up Bogut, and still beat OKC.

I can't see how anyone is going to be a factor against GSW. A team will have to beat them four times out of seven, including once in Oracle -- and this team has only lost a total of four times in over half a season, and never at home. You could imagine a single flukey loss occasionally, but four in a two week period? No way. Barring injury, this team isn't going to be stopped.

Re: The 2015 - 2016 NBA regular season thread

I saw that Adam Silver wants to look into changing the intentional fouls rules in the offseason.

I'd love it if they did something more to close the loopholes of end of game foulfest that occurs when the losing team would rather give up 2 free throws instead of letting the winning team to milk more time off the game clock, but it sounds like any rule change would be aimed at protecting the truly awful free throw shooters.

If someone in the NBA can't hit more than 2 out of 3 free throws, I don't think their liability should be artificially lessened, but their liability should be artificially magnified.

The real solution is that any human being can make 70% on free throws if he wants to put the time in to make it happen.

Re: The 2015 - 2016 NBA regular season thread

The NBA is changing its rules regarding intentional fouls at the free throw line, distributing an email to the league stating that this will now be considered a flagrant foul, according to Chris Mannix of The Vertical.

Fouling just after the free throw shooter has released the ball has become an increasingly popular way to intentionally foul without time coming off the clock this season. The move has most commonly been used by Cleveland Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova, who has been seen jumping on the backs of opposing players while his team is shooting free throws.

The classification of the foul as a flagrant 1 means that the fouled team will both shoot free throws and retain possession.

I still think changing the rules for players who can't shoot free throws is coddling and stupid. Learn to shoot your free throws and players won't intentionally foul you.

Re: The 2015 - 2016 NBA regular season thread

It's ridiculous that the NBA would change the rules for basically 3-4 players. Drummond, Dwight Howard, Josh Smith, etc, simply need to practice their free throws. Period.

Re: The 2015 - 2016 NBA regular season thread

I still think most of the guys mentioned who suck at free throws do practice. When Shaq was here i'd constantly hear about how much time he did put in working on it, and for whatever reason it just isn't clicking. It's not about lack of practice.
