Re: 2014-15 NBA Playoffs Thread

After some epic battles the past few years, I'm a little sad the Clippers and Grizzlies most likely won't meet this year in the playoffs, but we'll see. Although you never know, that number 2 seed in the West was pretty important, as I'd much rather face Dallas than any of the 2 through 6 teams in the first round. The West is going to be really exciting though. The East may get there but not this round, I don't think (I was kinda pulling for the Pacers)

Re: 2014-15 NBA Playoffs Thread

Going with another Spurs vs. Lebron finals. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Clippers oust the Spurs in the first round and leaving it open for the Warriors get in there for the East. Also wouldn't surprise me if the Cavs forget how to play together in the finals and lose to the team from the West. But I'm betting on them keeping it together and ending the long Cleveland championship drought.

I'm rooting for the Warriors the whole way. The only teams I really don't want to see get anywhere are Cleveland, Houston, and the Clippers

thing is, I would not want to face a Rick Carlisle team. Coaching and strategy and adjustments play a much huger role in the playoffs.

I don't think Portland will win any games, and I'd be surprised if any are even close. They haven't been the same since W3S tore his achilles, and Aldridge, Kaman, Afflalo, and Batum are all banged up, plus they never really played Memphis well even when healthy.

Agreed. Would otherwise be one of the favorites, but it sure feels like it's just delaying the off-season. Hopefully they can keep the team together because they were getting real close.

Last year's first round results (which was one of the more thrilling first rounds i could remember):

Eastern Conference First Round (3-4): Brooklyn Nets over Toronto Raptors
Eastern Conference First Round (4-3): Indiana Pacers over Atlanta Hawks
Eastern Conference First Round (4-0): Miami Heat over Charlotte Bobcats
Eastern Conference First Round (1-4): Washington Wizards over Chicago Bulls
Western Conference First Round (4-3): Los Angeles Clippers over Golden State Warriors
Western Conference First Round (4-3): Oklahoma City Thunder over Memphis Grizzlies
Western Conference First Round (2-4): Portland Trail Blazers over Houston Rockets
Western Conference First Round (4-3): San Antonio Spurs over Dallas Mavericks
you guys don't think there will be as many game 7s?

Go Spurs! (Although I have a feeling they'll get knocked out in the semifinals.)

I was hoping the Clips would get the two spot. As good as Carlisle is, I fear Pop a lot more.

Damn it Harden is probably the least appealing star player for me to watch play.

The Pelicans have zero defense. That tall Turkish dude just stands there like a statue. Anthony Davis is a stud, but he can't do it alone. Warriors looking to sweep.
