This game is so irrelevant that it's not even a factor in Fantasy Football.
Between the 2 teams, only 1 player is owned by anyone in my league - Delanie Walker.
I'm watching it - so that's not saying much about my life.

I watched and it was a lot more interesting than last week's installment (NYJ vs TEN). If you need to tank there'e is no one better than Ken Whisenthunt who has won 3 of his last 27 games coached.
I started JAX defense and I think they did OK.

Did Don Cheadle say before the game "This is why you stay home" promoting Jags vs Titans?
I am kind of glad Thurs Night Football is over.
I like football but it is too much. I will miss MNF and SNF and the final MNF game is next week and only 2 more SNF games.

As if there were any questions, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell put an end to them this week when he told the San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams that there will not be a team that moves to Los Angeles for next season, according to league sources.
Goodell also told the Chargers, Raiders and Rams -- each of whom can file a relocation application for the 2015 season starting Jan. 1 -- that any team that is considering relocating to Los Angeles should look to 2016 instead, according to sources.

Also, reports are starting to say that Harbaugh is accepting the position at Michigan.

I still think the Rams and Raiders will both go back, whether it be next year or not. The Oakland Coliseum is a cess pool the and the city is in no rush to build them a new home.

Yep. They're better off with L.A. vacant. Particularly with the tide turning against cities getting bent over.

Re: 2014 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 16
I saw a cool plan somewhere about LA. I don't remember where I saw it. Make 16 teams play 8 weeks of neutral site games in LA for 2 years. Show the NFL LA is serious about having a team. If they can pull that off, then let them build a stadium, continue the neutral site games and then give them an existing team or expansion team in like 5-6 years.

I'm pretty sure teams would much rather travel to LA than London.

Meh. Little difference for an east coast team. Regardless, it's not an either/or since the London games aren't going away.

Re: 2014 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 16
I don't see why the NFL couldn't easily add 4 -8 LA games next year, then increase in the coming years. It doesn't have to be an either/or. It could be in addition to.

Re: 2014 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 16
They could have done that for the last 20-ish years. And haven't. That should tell you something. I don't see what is so 'cool' about playing a bunch of neutral site games in L.A. You'd think if L.A. was so attractive, SD would play a game there much like Buffalo tried in Toronto. And that's done.
The NFL basically laid out the carpet for L.A. in the last expansion and they blew it, so they had to go to Houston.

How long is a direct flight from NYC to LA? 5 hours?
I don't know if that extra two hours of flight time is negligible. Plus, you don't have to get work VISAs for all the players and staff and go through customs to fly to LA. (although I'd assume that customs/immigration procedures are probably expedited for the NFL in London).

Re: 2014 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 16
That's my whole point. NFL so much better off with that if.....
If L.A. is such a cash cow, then someone should step up, buy a team and build.
