If Welker comes back strong, after my trade, my lineup will be Stafford/Foster/Forte/Megatron/Harvin/Welker/J. Thomas. With Edelman/Garcon/Pierce/Gordon on the bench.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

Hmm, Gordon was still available in one of my 12-team leagues. I'd picked up Wheaton (waiving Stevie Johnson) earlier this week, but my bid for Forsett (waiving Ladarius Green) was denied so I still had Green on my roster. I just picked up Gordon, dropping Green, and it went through immediately. Who knows when he'll really come back and what shape he'll be in, but it's worth a flyer.

I just need to remind myself that I'm currently going without a backup TE in two leagues.

(Assuming Foster stays healthy)

RG3. oh wait...

Pierce getting positive points is an improvement, he did seem to get most of the carries with Forsett as a change of pace back, but the Steelers looked terrible yesterday on both sides so who knows how good they are. I still didn't have the guts to start Pierce after last week, though.

Gotta suck for Pitta owners seeing Daniels get both scores, though.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

One of my league member was bitching at me how ESPN waiver system screwed up as he was first in the waiver priority and had Forsett as his first pick. It didn't happened and he ended up with his second choice but I think he screwed up and didn't put him as his number one. ESPN site is not perfect but every other transaction came through. Anyways, it was all for nothing based on last night performance.

Disciplined his kid with a switch supposedly.

How's this fit in with the new domestic abuse rules?

10 games for Gordon. Hardly worth keeping him for what, 4 weeks, if I make the championship?

Yeah, tough to stash unless you're in a keeper or dynasty league.

Who knews if Gordon is even effective when he comes back and would you really stash him that long with bye weeks coming up and maybe injuries?

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

I would've kept him if he got 8. We have lots of roster spots. And he came back pretty good after sitting out last year.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

We had a guy take him just in case he won his appeal. Now he will end up carrying him all season. This just happens to be the year we reduced roster size to 14 from 16.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

Yeah, I have Gordon in only one league and we'll see how long I can stash him. I'm currently running without a backup TE, K, or D. I have to break down the byes and see where I need bodies. Bottom of my 16-man roster is Gordon-Wheaton-Christine Michael-Bernard Pierce-Terrance Williams. If I have to drop two people at any time, it could be tricky.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

I decided to roll with Cam in both my leagues (over Dalton and RGIII) and benched both Gerhart and Jeffrey in place of Golden Tate and Golden Tate. Didn't want to risk the bagel.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

This Buffalo RB situation is going to be the death of me this year. Got FJax in one league and Spiller in the other. For now, I'm going against the grain and starting Hyde over FJax and Spiller over Sproles and Matthews in my other one.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

Milquetoast Matt Asiata or potential in a little package Jerick Mckinnon?

Picked the wrong time getting back into FF since it seems most waiver wire decisions involve guys being pukes.

His owner tried to trade me his RB2 today. Almost wish I had taken him just to hear the wails literally 30 minutes later.

That is the question. Asiaita had a nice game when filling in for AP last year. I guess I lean towards him (at least for the immediate future). I'm on the fence of dropping either Bradshaw or Gordon for him. With this breaking news, I don't think I can wait long before others take both of them.

This 10 game business is complete conjecture, right? I'd drop him for that, but it feels tough to drop Gordon when nothing is official. I'd look like an idiot if I drop him only for Gordon to be activated soon afterward.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2014

Sounds like maybe McKinnon would be most likely to get the most carries.

Guy I'm playing this week has Peterson.

Hey guess what? Same guy has AP. He may be carrying both for multiple weeks, and playing with essentially a 12-man roster. Bye weeks will be a hell of a thing. He'll be stacked for the playoffs, if he makes them.

Eh, I waited too long and the AP owner picked up Asiata. But like I said, I would've had to drop either Ahmad Bradshaw or Josh Gordon and I didn't really need a RB for the next few weeks anyway (already have McCoy, Bernard, and Jennings set in my lineup).

The guy that picked up Asiata dropped Bishop Stankey. Anything to see there? I know he was one of the popular rookies heading into the draft. But the first game (where Shonn Greene was the clear #1) seems to have soured that a lot.
