Re: DVDTalk All Star Fantasy Football League 2014

OK folks,

the league is now FULL!!

Thanks to those who have joined up. Right now payment has been received by 3, so just a friendly reminder that payment is due by Saturday August 9th.

When I get home from work tonight I'll go ahead and generate the draft order via Yahoo so everyone knows where they stand and can star planning

Just a bump up as a friendly reminder. I've only received 2 payments so far and hoping to get everything squared away by the deadline this Saturday.

Thanks and good luck everyone!!

TAC'S money is on the way, so including me that'll be 4 that will have paid.

Remember not to mention anything about Fantasy Football when you PayPal...just let me know your DVDTalk name and team name somewhere in there

Fantasy sports are decided with the waiver wire. That's free advice.

A good draft can be very helpful too especially if you were lucky enough to draft Peyton Manning and Jamal Charles last year....

I finished second in both leagues I was in, mainly because we had the title game during week 17 (I know, and I had AP and a few others like Charles sit out or play a few downs).

I got Moreno, and Thomas off the waiver wire, and then someone released the receiver on the Colts (the fast one lol, I had him in both leagues and I forget his name) and I snagged him. I also had Megatron in my auction league and Gronk (who was great for the little time he played) I picked up late for cheap.

I had Kaepernick which was both good and bad, and I had Smith as a backup which wasn't too bad at all. I forget who my QB was in the other league, nobody really important I don't think.

Anyway, I used $120 of the $200 in the auction league to get AP and Megatron. Not sure if I'd do it again. I remember in the non auction league I almost drafted two or three running backs that either stunk it up, or had season ending injuries. Luckily they were chosen before my turn. I ended up with Charles which turned out to be a gift.

My connection took a dump last night, so I only made it for the last few rounds. I will reserve judgment on the autodraft until after Week 1.

Re: DVDTalk All Star Fantasy Football League 2014

Fun season. I notice that there was a stat correction for the championship game, which resulted in me losing by less than 3 instead of less than 1. In either case, Owen Daniels owes me $50.

Congratulations, mas_Tequila!
