My newborn son just had his first pictures taken with his new Auburn jersey. I am so pumped for this season, especially after the brutal season we had last year.

Looking forward to our first season without Denard. He will not be missed.

Here's hoping USC plays better this year... what a brutal year for Los Angeles based sports and not living up to preseason hype.

I meant last year, when USC fell after being preseason #1s in some circles, the Angels and Dodgers both faltered despite both adding a ton of salary, and the Lakers were, well, the Dwight Howard Lakers. But even if you take this season into account, the I don't think many had high expectations for the Dodgers this year anyway, even before they started out terribly. But yeah, the Kings won and heck the LA Galaxy won last year.

That seems about right. Looking at Auburn's schedule you don't have a chance at LSU, at A&M, or against Georgia and Alabama. The other four SEC games are all conceivably winnable though.

As a Maryland fan I look at Vanderbilt and the underlying question of college sports is on display: how many sexual assaults are you willing to have occur and how much money are you willing to spend to get ESPN night games? Once you're on the schedule, they won't report anything anyway.

It's kind of weird watching a live football game with daylight at 9PM.
Now I know how the east and central time zones feel. Must be really weird if you're watching from back east right now.
5-3 Hawaii. Jeez.

What an incredible finish in Vandy Vs. Ole Miss. It's so good, to have College Football back.

The Gophers looked about as bad as you can look while putting up 50, but glad to see them at least beat a patsy team for a change.

Well, so much for that. Hey, I like Norm Chow and Hawaii and all, but no way they should've been able to beat the spread here. The defense basically dominated Hawaii, as they should, but the offense had a tough time punching it into the endzone and picking up pass rushers. They're going to get destroyed when conference play starts up if things don't change drastically.

18 plays, 80 yards, over 9 minutes, on the road for the win. This was no fluke either. NDSU is a damn good football team made up of mostly kids from Minnesota and Wisconsin who didn't get offered by the big in state schools. This is a well coached team that plays great fundamental football. They don't panic either, even when going down by 14 on the road. Probably has something to do with winning 8 straight playoff games over the past two seasons.
