their womens division now consist of the same 4 names (Tessmacher, Tara, Gail, Madison) and their most popular one not being used due to backstage issues (Mickie James) and a big chunk of thier former champs either quit or did not get their contracts renewed. (Katie Lea/Winter. Angelina, Velvet) and thier KO Tag Belt has not been defended in months, and is held by a man!

Honestly, right now the WWE diva division gets more storyline than TNA's KO divison, sadly.

Plus her boyfriend is Edge, and I dont think he wants bad blood with WWE to have his girlfriend go there, plus factor in the TNA lawsuit with WWE, so I doubt you will see her in TNA anytime soon.

Really? Looks like Punk and Edge ended up doing a swap, Beth for Lita.

Re: The September 2012 Pro Wrestling Thread - Night of Surrender

- The official WWE website has an article looking at seven classic factions and re imagining them with current Superstars and Divas. One dream sequence includes John Cena betraying fans to reform the nWo.

Article writer Kevin Powers states, "Who could possibly comprise the modern incarnation of the most notorious faction of all time? It would take a major betrayal of the WWE Universe akin to Hulk Hogan’s original collusion with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The only Superstar capable of such an impactful move would be none other than John Cena.

"When Hogan deceived WCW, he was as polarized as Cena. Some still loved the classic red and yellow, others were tired of it. Judging by Cena’s reactions in various arenas all over the country, the same can be said for his creed of “hustle, loyalty and respect.” The Cenation leader could eventually just have his fill of “Cena sucks” chants, grab a can of black spray-paint and really give the WWE Universe something to “boo” about."

Powers recreates the New World Order with Randy Orton and Christian in the role of a veteran tandem similar to The Outsiders, Big Show as a returning member, Michael McGillicutty following in the footsteps of alumnus and father Curt Hennig, David Otunga as a legal adviser, and Michael Cole fulfilling Eric Bischoff's role as a loud and obnoxious mouthpiece.
Not bad booking from the web site writers.

That's cool. I wonder if they'll start playing up Cena's 380 day record and Punk wanting to beat it. I'm not gonna do the math and see how the days work out. But it would be cool to have Punk vs Cena on the 380th day.

Hadn't really considered that, but that's a cool idea. Make a big to-do about it.

Assuming I did the math correctly, day 380 (assuming today is the 309th day of Punk's reign) is December 4th, a Tuesday. So you could have Cena vs. Punk for the title on RAW on Dec. 3rd.

TNA did something similar earlier this year, when Bobby Roode was going to break AJ Styles' record for the longest TNA Heavyweight Title reign. They had a match on Impact and Roode won.

Punk would equal Cena's 380 days on Tuesday Dec. 4, 2012. (RAW anyone?)

Did some quick checking and he currently has the 10th longest title reign of all time having surpassed Superstar Billy Graham's 296 days about a month ago.

Loving Kane/Bryan. When Harry Met Sally scene was funny.

Think tonight is first time i have seen Kofi do the SOS. Normally messing around on the computer while listenting to RAW. I like that move.

I thought all three of Punk's promo segments were gold... but hated the end seeing Ryback as his next feud.

Just watching RAW now on the DVR. Pretty funny opening in light of what happened a few hours later in the MNF game.

I think Ryback is a "plan B" in case Cena can't go. It looked more like they were setting him up for a program with Miz and were just trying to put over his badassery at the end with the staredown.

Speaking of long title reigns, Sheamus is the 3rd longest World Champ behind Triple H and Batista. He'll pass them if he holds it until the Royal Rumble.

Does anyone even remember Diesel's reign being that long? To be honest, I don't remember that many challengers (outside of Mabel, for all the wrong reasons).

Re: The September 2012 Pro Wrestling Thread - Night of Surrender

- WWE announced that Kelly Kelly has left the company. The promotion posted the following on WWE.com:

"WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Kelly Kelly as of today, September 28, 2012. WWE wishes Kelly Kelly the best in all her future endeavors."

Soon after the post was made, Kelly said on Twitter:

Had an amazing 6 years with wwe made great friends and have the most loyal and amazing fans in the world thanks for the never ending support. Have exciting things in the works can't wait to share them with you stay tune.

Kelly hasn't been back full-time with the company since she took a hiatus in May, and as previously reported she has been looking to go her own way for a while now to pursue modeling and acting.

^^ Not a great loss talent wise but she was the most over diva in the company. I wish we had gotten a full heel Kelly in the past 6 years.

Another talentless airhead who thinks she's a much bigger star than she really is.

He had a 3 month feud with Sid, and 1 shot matches against Hart, HBK, and the Bulldog. before dropping the belt to Hart in November. It wasn't a bad reign per say, it just so happened in 1995 which was one of the WWF's worst years in history.
