I hope that Kane doesn't spoil the next classic Punk and Bryan could put on. Then again, I hope they're not going to burn out on this match all at once. Be nice to see them revisit it next year at some time.

Kane is a good worker and I think he'll add an interesting dynamic to the match.

I don't really watch TNA that much anymore, but why is Sting in the main event at what is supposed to be TNA's version of Wrestlemania?

Actually, this isn't the one. That one is Bound For Glory and it occurs in October. This is more like their version of , well, WCW's Uncensored, much like their other PPV efforts.

New belt order was put in almost two years ago. They just havn't used it yet. My guess is the spinner belt is still making them a ton on wwe.com.

Like that article says, I'd love to see the Winged Eagle come back. They brought back the classic IC belt, it's time to bring back the greatest championship belt of all time.

Anyone other than Punk or DB holding the Winged Eagle might make me throw up a little, and Cena might be enough to kill me.

I don't get why Cole is used as much as he is, and I never will.

I like how the two Ryback opponents are given the mike beforehand, it makes the squash a little more interesting. Or maybe it's done so the audience knows that Ryback is supposed to be the hero.

Unreleased ECW footage? That sounds pretty awesome.

That belt never went away. Too bad Shemus is wearing it.

Re: The June 2012 Pro Wrestling Thread - No Slammiversary Out

I'm cautiously optimistic about the way they seem to be slowly building the tag division up. I like that we are seeing a few consistent teams emerging, as opposed to the random pairings that seemed to get thrown together as opponents for the champs in recent teams. I especially like the way they are building the Prime Time Players, and if they can put together 2 or 3 more credible teams in the rotation they will actually have a tag division they can work with.

On the other hand -- and this goes for all the titles -- they need to put an end to this "champion jobbing in a non-title match" nonsense. They've really been overusing this idea recently and it just devalues everything... the championship, the champion, and even the contender. The champ should seem unbeatable while they hold the belt, even if they're a cowardly heel who uses cheap moves to hold on to the title. And any victory over the champ should be a huge deal, not just something that "puts them in line" for the championship.

You mean they need to go back to doing this. Sadly they just want to throw a show out every week and don't care too much if their champions look weak or not. This can be traced back to monthly PPVs and main eventers wrestling on Raw every week.

Re: The June 2012 Pro Wrestling Thread - No Slammiversary Out

Randy Orton's future with WWE is uncertain following their announcement Wednesday that he was being suspended for 60 days for his second violation of the Talent Wellness Program. SuperLuchas.net reports the SmackDown wrestler met with Chairman Vince McMahon, Executive Vice President of Talent and Live Events Paul Levesque and Executive Vice President of Television Production Kevin Dunn at the organization's headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut on Friday to discuss his future with the organization.

A WWE source described the meeting's atmosphere as "hostile;" it was determined that a further decision concerning Orton awaits. The report adds there are "several" officials lobbying for his termination as a cost-cutting measure. They feel his lucrative ten-year contract—signed in January 2010—can no longer be justified if he is brought back in a mid-level role. His second suspension hinders WWE from continuing to feature Orton in headline role since a third drug-testing policy infraction would result in automatic termination.

Stansky and Rosenberg's promo was the best part of Raw.

Re: The June 2012 Pro Wrestling Thread - No Slammiversary Out

Thought I'd finally gotten to start one of these, but I was a day too late.

What I said there:

RAW is at its lowest for me since I came back to being a regular viewer (Rock's inital return in 2011). The Laurinaitis act is already stale and there just isn't anything new and exciting going on. Really hope things get better soon.
And I'm behind two weeks now.

Below is the rumored new look WWE Championship belt which CM Punk confirmed was in production last week. The belt will replace the current "spinner" title which was introduced by John Cena.

Wow. That looks horrible. The spinner belt looks better...that looks so second-rate and cheap.

Someone suggested that maybe it's a close-up shot of a side panel. That would make sense. There's no spot on that for a nameplate.
