That is where I got most of them. Just letting the folks that don't travel over there see them without tons of re-posts.

Oh I didnt mean it to be rude. Sorry if it seemed that way. I was just saying but it appears my link didnt show up for some reason. But you're right, better to see it here than have an entire page with the same quoted picture. I hate that.

Re: The Official MMA Thread - Part IX

Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey broke her silence after her knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 with a post in Instagram.

“I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support,” Rousey wrote. “I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I’m fine. As I mentioned before I am going to take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back.”

Re: The Official MMA Thread - Part IX

If Ronda sticks to a grappling based gameplan (or a gameplan at all) and uses her striking to set up her judo throws, and doesn't charge at Holly thinking she's Mike Tyson, the rematch could be competitive. Holly could still very likely put her to sleep, but I wouldn't completly rule Ronda out yet.

Joe Rogan must feel like a fucking moron the way he hyped her as the greatest athlete who ever lived. I started a thread on sherdog months ago, trying to explain to those retards that Ronda has never faced an elite opponent and that the division is more shallow than a kiddie pool, but nobody bought it. If you look at mens Featherweight /Lightweight /Welterweight /Middleweight, there are about 8 or 9 Ronda Rouseys in every one of those weight classes. Holly and Ronda are IT for 135. Cat Zingano and Miesha Tate are talented, but they are the Forrest Griffin and Stephen Bonnar's of the division, above average journeymen fighters working there way up a short ladder. Its a shame Cyborg would probably die if she cut to 135, because things could get interesting at 135.

Ronda must feel pretty stupid after some of her comments. Like being able to beat every mens Bantamweight, and Floyd Mayweather. Also, I bet you dollars to donuts she touches gloves with Holly next time.

Re: The Official MMA Thread - Part IX

Look who took a break from her tantrum to comment

“I’m f-cking stoked; f-ck Ronda Rousey,” Tate told MMA News Source. “F-ck her and her ‘Nobody has the right to beat me.’ Nobody has the right to beat you? Well you just got beat, b-tch. … Anyways, I’m proud of Holly. She had a perfect, flawless game plan. She came in with it (Saturday) and now she is the champion.”

It appears Holm’s victory has reinvigorated Tate’s desire to fight, though, because “Cupcake” believes she should be the first to challenge the new champion, even if UFC President Dana White has already said a rematch with Rousey is likely on deck.

“I’m looking forward to that fight,” Tate said. “I think I’m next in line,” Tate said.
Poor, poor Meisha, you keep on thinking that.

Holly Holm saved us from having to watch Meisha's arm bend in a direction it's not supposed to bend again.

Re: The Official MMA Thread - Part IX

Thank god we don't have to hear about Rousey anymore as this indestructable force. I actually feel bad for her because the media just pumped her up more then she deserved. I am a casual fan of MMA so you guys know more then me, but she was a bit of a one trick pony with the armbar. When she finally met someone who was stronger then her and could out-box her this would be the result.

Don't we remember Mike Tyson as he was the same one trick pony? They both won on fear by their opponents, and once they get knocked out they will never be the same because they lose that aura of invincibility.

Re: The Official MMA Thread - Part IX

Hopefully this tide of uneducated media and b-list female celebrities will quite down now about their MMA predictions, UFC analysis, etc. When Demi Lovato has more time on UFC tonight than Rashad Evans something is wrong....

As for the Rousey, I hope she's ok and hope this doesn't hurt her career too badly. It was only a matter of time before that bull in a China shop with your chin out mentality caught up with her. The rematch ends the same way.

More people need to start talking about Holly. I'm so happy for her. Especially with all the grief the keyboard warriors sent her way after her first two performances. The way she handled herself afterwards was peerless. Nearly every champion could learn from that.

I think she takes the cake for shoop-face. It belonged to Rashad with Bisbing being close to the top.
