From all the commentators it sounds like the Cardinals stand no chance in this series. Why all of them think that Colby is suddenly going to pitch a stud game tonight is beyond me. He just might but I don't understand why they think it is a sure thing.

Intense, tightly-contested game all around. The Cardinal bullpen was cold-blooded. It was a well-umpired game as well, aside from the missed foul off the foot there at the end. Great start to what looks to be an awesome World Series.

That was the quickest opposite field home run that I can remember in some time. Damn.

I had the game on pause for the wife for almost an hour due to her work schedule and I did not catch up w/ the live broadcast until the post-game.

Holy shit - that was awesome. Carp, Puma, Craig against the flame-thrower w/ the compact wind-up, the bullpen.

Son-of-a-bitch, what a nail-biter.

Hamilton looks uncomfortable at the plate when he swings - he should not be hitting third.
