Chicago looked very impressive last week, should be a nice match-up with New Orleans. Cleveland may put Indy in an 0-2 hole - how humiliating would that be. I'm thinking the Lions will have a big day against the Chiefs. It'll be interesting to see how Newton fares against that stout GB D. If he has another big game, the bandwagon will begin in earnest.

That "stout" D allowed 500 yards and gave up 34 points last week, they aren't that great.

Eagles-Falcons game should tell you a lot about these two teams. After week one, it's hard to tell.

Rams stink especially now with their injuries. Hostile environment, outdoors, Giants will win that game.

That's one game. They allowed the second-fewest points in the NFL last year.

I'm dreading the Ravens-Titans game this week. I think they might get blown out this weekend. The only positive is that the Ravens secondary is beat up pretty badly. That probably means more chances for Britt to accumulate fantasy points.

Never underestimate the Giants' ability to string together losses, no matter who they're playing.

And for the gambling community, take the Cards this week on the money line. I'll be attending the game.

The stadium has only had 2 sponsors, Invesco and Sports Authority, that's not that crazy.

there's no more irrelevant stat in the NFL than one from Last year. last year means bubkus for this year. They did not look good and lost Beason for the year in the process. That is no longer a stout D.

I'm nervous about the Lions/Chiefs. Everything points to the Lions putting up some big numbers and the Chiefs looked like they want to try and tie them for futility @ 0-16 against the Bills, lost Eric Berry and Moeki, and still have to play Matt Cassel. But I think it will be closer than the blow out a lot are predicting. They should win easily, but we'll see.

I'll say 31-17. And I think Megatron will be accounting for most of those points. Their safeties are garbage...and Sabby Piscitelli is gonna be vying for every play in the "Aw maaaaaaan" segment this week

That's a good philosophy for a Lions fan.

Re: 2011 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 2

I finally brokedown and got NFL Sunday Ticket. Got it for 50 percent off. I don't even want to think what it would be like to sit through every Sunday being stuck watching the Detroit Lions.
