Milwaukee is 26-36 on the road. That can't be good.

not if they don't get home field advantage in the playoffs (assuming they make it).

It's actually better than it was. I think their last road trip they went 5-1 and the one before that they went 5-6, while not good. Isn't as bad as they were doing.

Yeah, they've been better lately, but definitely need to improve if they want to go anywhere in the postseason. I don't think they're going to win the World Series without winning a single road game like the Twinkies did way back when.

Totally agree. I really like the Brewers club, but the run/season they're putting together defies explanation. As I said a few days ago, it seems as if it's just their year to this point. They're a MLB-best 12 games over .500 in games decided by a single run. And while one can argue those results are due to various factors (great bullpen, managing, etc), there's a tremendous amount of luck involved. Everything seems to be clicking for them. And if they can keep up this momentum into September/October, they'll be just as dangerous as any other team in the postseason.

Yeah, I knew they were playing well, but I didn't realize it was up to 7 games.

Estrada had a great start again today. 1 ER in 5 innings. too bad the bullpen couldn't keep it close.

Kennedy looked great early, got hit during a collision for a pop fly and now looks horrendous. Good series, Phils fans. No way the Dbacks dig out of this hole.

Re: MLB Thursday, August 18, 2011

Snakes down 3-0 versus the Phils tonight in the 3rd inning.

After tonight's game against the Braves the only team with a winning record the Giants play the rest of the season is the Dbacks. SF is 7-5 against them this season.

With a gun to my head, I think the Giants will win the division. I just feel it in my bones. Ugh.

Stop trying to jinx it.

This game will resume, it's hardly drizzling down here south of the stadium.

Now I have to watch preseason football Eagles/Stillers

Giants lose 1-0 to the Braves.

Ninth time this season Lincecum takes the mound and the offense doesn't score.
Nine times. Not one run.

I'm ten minutes south of there and it stopped raining an hour ago.

I wonder who will come out to pitch foe the Phils. Their long guy is pitching already Sunday.

Well it's Herndon. There you go D-backs.

damn Giants...I lost count by now, but I think it's around 15 or 16 additional wins if they would have scored at least 4 runs in a game. I mean, c'mon, that's not asking a lot.
