It MIGHT have been shit (over here)?

Oddly enough, I STILL don't respect him, RKO inventor or not. (I think he negated that with the Dynamic Dudes and his legacy as a corporate buffoon.)

Could they make Riley's music any more generic? Every time it plays I have no idea who's coming out.

Kelly Kelly v. Beth Phoenix
The Miz v. Rey Mysterio
John Morrison v. R-Truth
Kofi Kingston v. Alberto Del Rio

Seems like too many matches for a 3 hour show, when you factor in WWE's love of stupid skits, plus the dumb concert. It wouldn't surprise me to see Barrett/Bryan be left off, and maybe even Ziggler/Riley.
I think someone mentioned that it looks like it will be Miz and Truth vs Mysterio and Morrison. That cuts down one of the matches. And the Divas will get 3 minutes. So that cuts down time. It still is a little tight, but definitely doable.

I like Cee-lo, but I'm definitely with you on the concert thing. He'll do one song, but has that ever really worked? I know Kid Rock has done it, Limp Bizkit has too, along with Motorhead (I think), and the dude who sings the DX theme, but people never really seem to be into the live music aspect of a wrestling show.

They just gave us that match for free, why would they expect us to pay for it?

With a clean finish. No need to do it over.

Another entertaining RAW. I loved Punk's line "apparently it's time to play the game" after HHH's music hit. Truth continues to be hilarious, and Beth throwing both Bellas out at the same time was a very cool spot. What exactly did Melina do to get the company so pissed at her? I can't remember the last time she won a match and was out of the battle royal in 3 seconds.

Shes got a bad rep backstage, from Batista's fooling around with her to the whole Morrison/Trish problem at the last WM. I'm surprised they havn't ditched her long ago.

She's a horseyface that needs to go. But then, I don't care about the divas wrestling so, to me, a majority should go. And the few should just be kept as valets/managers. I was surprised how stunning Kelly Kelly is in person. She's no Stacy Kiebler tho.

I met Keibler when she was Nitro girl Skye. I didn't think there was anything special about her to be honest. She was sitting with Fyre (Teri Bryne) at the time who blew her out of the water.

Re: WWE/TNA/ROH August Wrestling Thread: SummerSlam/ Hardcore Justice

What's up with John Morrison? He returned to Raw last week and has gotten pinned twice within the past seven days (on Smackdown & Raw). I have a feeling the WWE is setting him up for a heel turn at SummerSlam. I am speculating one of two things.

Scenario #1: If Morrison and R-Truth have a singles match at SummerSlam, then by the end of the match the roles would be reversed with R-Truth becoming a face again. R-Truth is pretty funny.

Scenario #2: If a tag-team match takes place between Mysterio/Morrison and Miz/R-Truth at SummerSlam, I can imagine Morrison turning on Mysterio. I could also imagine Miz turning on R-Truth.

If Morrison's heel-turn doesn't happen at SummerSlam, then it would be not too far down the road. I thought Morrison was a pretty good heel when he was ECW champ and had that feud with CM Punk back around 2007.

With both Morrison and Truth heels I think that would only leave Mysterio and Riley as mid card faces.

I too thought Morrison was pretty good as a heel when he was in "ECW". Hated the guy but that was the point.

Colt Cabana worked a dark match tonight at the Smackdown tapings.

I predict that whomever gets the victory in the title match at SummerSlam will do such with help from someone and start transition to heel. Right now both are in a position where they could easily go in that direction, though Punk with more ease than Cena.

I hope Cabana gets another chance with the WWE but I'm going to miss his podcasts every week.

Unless they turn someone else face (Miz?) I don't think they can afford to have Morrison be a heel. But I agree, he's a much better heel. But that's the problem, the vast majority of their guys, besides Mysterio, are either better as heels or more interesting if they turned. Shoot, the top face on Smackdown is better as a heel.

Sheamus will be on Conan on August 11th. Never will so much whiteness be seen on the TV screen before.

Yeah, if it was a fantasy booking with these guys in their prime, it might be worth going to see. But if people like slow, drunken wrestling... well, this is the ticket.

If Colt gets signed, I'm going to miss $5 Wrestling most of all. The Tournament of Champions is hilarious.

Slight Smackdown spoiler
Spoiler:
Triple H shits on Zack Ryder and pedigrees him. Whew! That Ryder guy almost got himself over. Good thing H was around to put a stop to THAT shit!

It won't be on TV, but it's still absolutely stupid. Of course, it doesn't surprise. I read yesterday (I know, lol dirtsheets) that the point of this Punk/HHH/Cena angle is to put TRIPLE H over. Lord knows he needs to be pushed some more and not the actual active wrestlers! Plus, I guess Triple H still had blue balls from last week not getting to Pedigree CM Punk like the original scripts of Raw had planned, supposedly.
