Good to see that the Yankees can dominate everyone in the AL... you know, except the Red Sox.

Phillies offense is heating up? The Marlins are starting to fall apart!

The Marlins' pitching has been terrible lately. They're really missing Josh Johnson... it's a bummer, was transferred to the 60 day DL so is now out until after the AS break.

Boston has such a left handed loaded lineup. I am surprised that the Yankees are only carrying 1 left-handed reliever.

Are these roofless assholes going to play tonight? (Cubs/Brewers)

EDIT: Yes.

That's awesome.

Twins win again. At least they are getting fun to watch.

Re: MLB Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Entire Yankee infield has homered tonight... not really that big a deal until you realize Eduardo Nunez and Ramiro Pena were the starting SS and 3rd baseman. Tex and Granderson are now tied with Batista for the major league lead in HR's

The Yankees bullpen right now is hilarious... Luis Ayala and Boone Logan are now the 3rd and 4th options out of the pen.

Folks who have now pitched in relief this year:
Amari Sanit
Kevin Whelan
Jeff Marquez
Buddy Carlyle
Hector Noesi
Lance Pendleton
Cory Wade

And they somehow lead the AL in bullpen ERA (which I imagine won't last long)

White Sox once again making a decent pitcher look like a Cy Young winner. Four double plays. This hist losing against the division is getting stupid. This team has just had no killer instinct for years now.

Same thing with the Braves. I see Halladay or Lee on the calendar, I think there's a good chance to win. If I see Gee, a knuckleballer or a rookie, I call it "Scrub Night" and fully expect a one-hit shutout against the Bravos.

Re: MLB Wednesday, June 15, 2011

^^^^^ is that Victorino

The Reds are smiling again, sweeping the Dodgers to complete a 5-2 west coast stint. 34 games in 35 days. Much needed day off tomorrow.

Here we go AL east.

I'd rather it be the Red Sox instead of the Yankees on the schedule though to give Youkilis a series back in his hometown (I remember playing against him at age 12-14 or so on the Nuckols teams. He was a catcher/pitcher at that time.) But then again, not a turrible run to potentially miss Sabathia, and also Colon on the DL.

It will be interesting to see Bautista in GABP, and also welcoming back Encarnacion, who the Reds gave up for Rolen.

What's wrong with Beckham? I thought he was going to be a good one, but he's become mediocre at best.

I'm surprised that at this point only three teams are ten games over .500

Damn Dbacks just can't solve the Giants. Oh well. Hope to win tomorrow to avoid the sweep.

Cards in a bit of a tailspin having now lost 5 in a row. The good news...only a game out of first and Matt Holliday expected to return to action tomorrow.

Pirates win again and move over the .500 mark. I'm trying to figure out which one is the more surprising team--Seattle or Pittsburgh. They both have overachieved in a weak division.

Oh well, a win is a win and plus they scored some runs today!

They had two. Pedro Feliciano went down early and is done for the season. Although I'm not sure if that's really a bad thing.

Yeah Girardi has done a great job managing the bullpen and finding ways to get big outs from them.

Spoiler:
