Brewers get Cincy next week. I'll be at Wednesday's game. Hopefully Cincy and St. Louis beat each other up!

It's been an ugly start for the NL Central. The games against teams within your division are obviously going to be huge this year.

Just realized by looking at the standings that they are the highest scoring teams in either league.

Freezing cold at the Mariners game tonight. Pineda looks good other than a long second inning with two BB.

St. Louis takes down the Reds and sits in first all by themselves.

Mitchell Boggs did a nice job facing the top of the Reds order to nail down the win.

I just finished watching this game myself. The Cardinals didn't really take advantage of the number of hits they had but they won so that is good enough for me.

Yo went deep and got the win! Sweet!

Also tough break for Sanchez of the Marlins. Broken bat single that escapes the infield in the 9th, and his no-no was gone.

What do you think a No-No is? Baseball writers being dumb-asses doesn't mean much.

Re: MLB Friday, April 22, 2011

I think it's short for saying no hitter.

If it was flirting with a perfect game they say he was flirting with a perfect game.
When did all descriptive words and phases etc. become strictly literal.
No-no means no hits. Does anyone say he was flirting with a no?

Re: MLB Friday, April 22, 2011

A no-no means no hits and no runs. It's a way to say it's even more special than a no-hitter.

Yes nobody says you were flirting with a no, they say flirting with a no-hitter. Nobody says you were flirting with a per either, which is about as relevant.

If it's considered a no-hitter, that's cool I guess, I just don't understand why it would be.

This is what I always thought as well. No-no is just short for no hitter.

Is your logic really this bad?

First you ask why people who use RBI (which I don't use by the way) don't say RsBI because you apparently don't know what an acronym is (or how to make one) and now you are asking if people should be calling it a no?

I have to assume this is sarcasm and your logic can't truly be this poor.
