Posey gets a home-run cycle - a solo home run, a two-run home run, a three-run home run and a grand slam in one day. Never heard of anyone getting that before. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big...urn=mlb-wp3970

Brewers sign Braun to an extension through 2020 http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=6403833

Not that I don't love the fact Braun will basically be a Brewer for life, but I think management ought to be offering our other slugger the contract extension.

Dbacks couldn't get the sweep.

As long as they can get 2 wins in NY, I will be happy.

It is such a downer when your team is on a 7 game losing streak. It shouldn't bother me this much. But each loss just makes the next 24 hours suck that much more. Thankfully the Bulls are getting me through this slump.

I didn't even watch yesterday. WTF. The starting pitching hasn't been that bad.

There are too many talented guys on this team - it's got to be something up with the coaching.

Selig was hinting today about 10 teams in the MLB playoffs next season. Just think if it was last season, the International League Pawtucket Red Sox would have made the AL playoffs. Thanks for the Youtube, now my computer shuts down. Thought this was a talk forum.

The Cardinals with the win! Lohse gave up less hits in the entire game than Franklin does in an inning.

True, but the Twins don't even suit up until the all star break.

That's what we are all hanging our hats on (and we are done with the AL East after May I think).

But they have looked awful.

Give me the choice between the two and I'd take Braun every time.

Idiot Bud ruining our beloved game again.

What many fans and Mr. Selig who want expanded playoffs dont understand is that the 162 game schedule is essentially one long playoff round! The reason the regular season is so long so each team can get through the ebb and flow of injuries, streaks, road trips, etc.

At the end of the day (barring major injuries to a certain team), the 162 game schedule produces the truly best teams in each division, so there is no need to have a huge tournament of 8 or 10 teams.

MLB was fine before the invention of the Wildcard, as the LCS and World Series were perfect for many years. Division races were great at the end of the year, and you didn't have continuous rounds of playoffs like the NHL and NBA do.

Sadly, the younger generation is being brought up in sports where the regular season in all sports really doesn't mean anything, so essentially the playoffs is when everyone tunes in and cares. Just look at the popularity of March Madness and how very few care about that regular season.

I'm sure they've tried.. Prince does have the devil as his agent. He will get a monster deal. But I hope he'll take less to stay a Brewer.

Selig's rumored next brilliant idea:

If there is a tie-breaker for the division at the end of the season, he will use the two teams spring training records to determine who gets in the playoffs.

That can't be true can it? Might as well use number of triples hit in the 4th inning of games.
