Tyshawn Taylor suspended:

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Kansas junior guard Tyshawn Taylor has been suspended indefinitely from the team for violating team rules, coach Bill Self announced Monday.

Taylor has started all but one game for the 25-2 Jayhawks, who are ranked second in the latest ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll. They play host to Oklahoma State on Monday night (ESPN, 9 ET).

"Although we are disappointed in Tyshawn, he will remain a member of our team and practice with our team until he is reinstated for competition," Self said in a statement.

The loss of Taylor comes at a critical juncture for the Jayhawks (10-2 Big 12), who are chasing Texas (11-1 Big 12, 23-4) for the conference title. There are four games remaining in the regular season.

Taylor is averaging 8.8 points per game for Kansas and ranks third in the Big 12 in in assists per game (4.7).

More goodness with Pac-10 TV. Next Saturday's [email protected] game, which could clinch the conference for Arizona, is supposed to be an FSN "national" game, but will be delayed 4 hours here in Colorado so we can get some live exhibition baseball.

You're a regular Nostradamus!

The A&M/OSU game was surprisingly close. Glad we squeaked out with a win there.

Really damaging loss for Valpo last night - losing to UWGB in OT. They were in the drivers seat to win the Horizon regular season which would have given them home court in the conf. tourney. Now they are a game behind Cleveland State and a 1/2 game behind Butler (who is on a roll - getting back into the bubble discussion).

CS 12-4 (UWM, UWGB)
BUT 12-5 (@LOY)
VAL 11-5 (LOY, UIC)
UWM 11-5 (@CS, @YSU)

Hoping to see the Championship Week link soon....I run a fun little conference tourney pick'em. Pretty fun, just pick who you think will win each conference tournament, winner take all.

It's somewhat light but I don't think it's terrible. I like that the 3 games are conference games instead of some cupcakes at the beginning of the year.

Only a clown like Bruce Weber would give a true freshman his first meaningful minutes of the year on the road against the #3 team in the country

Congrats to Bruce Weber who is now under .500 in conference since Dee Brown and James Augustine graduated.

I'll just say what I said on another board after the game:

I was definitely in the Weber can do no wrong category his first 3-4 years at Illinois but the program has regressed, he calls out players and throws them under the bus all the time, seems like he can't connect to the players he coaches at all. I am fed up with him. He doesn't change his coaching style to fit the team he has. His crappy offense "philosophy" sucks for these type of players. Also I thought he was more of a defense coach and that has regressed year after year. To me Weber is in over his head at this level and would be better suited where he once was at a mid-major. I can't believe I am saying that after being such a huge fan of his but he isn't getting it done and I don't want to hear nothing about it being the players not playing up to their standards and 'wait until such and such' leaves and we will be better'. The players change the coach and his philosophy stay the same.

I really can't believe that this team is in the position it is right now. Scraping, scrapping for a NCAA bid again. Losing to freaking UIC, U I C. I can take these losses we have had this season in the Big 10 because I knew the conference was going to be tough but the two losses that I can't get over are UIC and IU. Those are beyond unacceptable. That UIC loss is so freaking embarrassing.

Did you hear him call out the fans in the post game?

On the Iowa game this weekend: "The true fan will come and cheer us on"

He's so thin skinned, I hope the constant heat from the fans causes him to have a breakdown and quit.

Huge win for the Vols last night. They were moving backwards ever since Pearl got back.

Big Ten is getting interesting. Minny can't find a win. You never know with Illinois - they better take care of business at home, or else the conference could be looking at only 4 bids, which given it's RPI strength, would be a surprise.

Re: College Hoops, February 21 - March 6 **Start Punching Tickets**

Minnesota sent a message last night to the committee that they really don't belong in the tourney. Giving up a 14-1 run at home to a mediocre team is embarrassing.
