there was tons of humor about it... you love TNA that you are so blinded by their ways...

i have not once seen you mad at it... it baffles me but oh well... you are mister TNA here... which is funny when everyone else is at the very least critical of it but you still defend it, as if you were Double J himself..

its all good bro... i dont hate you...

I think I have it figured out. You both work for TNA and are helping Russo build toward a showdown at their next PPV! Definitely more interesting than what they've been having.

My friend didn't know about the new TNA belt and after Smackdown last night I told him to turn it on the DVR... he saw the belt and just walked out of the room. I got a laugh out of it.

Re: WWE/TNA/ROH November Wrestling Thread: Turning Point/Survivor Series

That new Jeff Hardy TNA belt is pure garbage. It was really uncomfortable watching Hogan and company crap all over TNA's legacy. I know what they're going for, but it's disrespectful to every TNA star that ever busted his/her ass to get the company where it is today. Yeah, this is all an angle, but I'm baffled as to why Dixie and JJ would even consider going down that road.

At least we're starting to see Team TNA starting to form (Pope, Samoa Joe, RVD, Morgan, Angle, etc.). The TNA guys better get some offense in before this turns into another "NWO burying WCW" craptacular.

#23, #24, and #47 are idiotic considering they all held the WWE belt for a number of years.

Re: WWE/TNA/ROH November Wrestling Thread: Turning Point/Survivor Series

23 is plenty high enough for Hogan imo- yea he was an icon and could cut a great promo, but he was beyond horrendous in the ring. And looking back and seeing his matches now, when I'm not a little kid it is almost painful to watch.

Also Undertaker at 2 is absurd. Sorry, he shouldn't be that high.

Re: WWE/TNA/ROH November Wrestling Thread: Turning Point/Survivor Series

Say what you will about Hogan's in-ring ability, but you can't discredit what he did for the industry and is still the most famed face of pro-wrestling/sports entertainment (though one could argue the Rock is up there in this generation). I wonder what criteria made up the list. It certainly seems to be made up of those who have not crossed Vince of recent. If this list were made, say, 10 years ago I wonder if Bret would be as high as he is.

Re: WWE/TNA/ROH November Wrestling Thread: Turning Point/Survivor Series

This list obviously serves only to please Vince and has no other criteria. How else can you explain the low rank Hogan got and the absense of Warrior and Lesnar? That's not too shocking at all as we've seen WWE alter their historical perspective many times.

What I fail to understand is how poorly represented today's wrestlers are. In that list of fifty, I see only SIX that are fully active in the WWE today (Kane, Big Show, Orton, Cena, Edge, Mysterio). Cena, who is supposed to be the poster-boy for today's WWE only placed at #16. If this ranking is nothing more than Vince's fluff piece, then what service is he doing for himself to downplay the current roster when they could be saying that today's crew can hang with the legends.

Is this finally an admission to what we've all known, that WWE has failed to make any real stars since the Attitude era?

Re: WWE/TNA/ROH November Wrestling Thread: Turning Point/Survivor Series

Most of Harley Race's reign must have been before my time, I remember watching wrestling in my youth and wondering why this guy was contending with the more in-shape guys. I only barely remember his feud with the Junkyard Dog. It is, however, great to see Steamboat up there.

Wait, are they considering the totality of their work, not just their work in WWF/WWE? I guess you'd have to if you want to put Dusty in there, which I guess makes sense. I know people hate Hogan, but, wrestling aside, he, Rock, Austin, and Hitman probably make up my top 5, at least in the eras I watched.

Actually, looking at the list, that's gotta be fake, where's HHH?

edited to add: never mind, I see him, I guess he's not a fully active wrestler so wasn't included in Zarak's list.
