I would've given Pujols a 10 year deal 3 years ago. Now, not so much.

He can only blame himself for not asking for a restructured/extended deal earlier on. To think he is going to get 10 years when he is already in his 30s is not likely to happen. I love Pujols as a player and a man off the field but I can't stand the hardheadedness that he is showing now. Even if they gave him 200 million plus now he would still make over 300 million in the life of his career off of baseball. Pretty good for someone that said he would give professional baseball one year and if it didn't work out move on and do something else.

I had actually forgotten about that annoying song, and I was definitely rooting for the O's in that series. Eddie Murray was a HOFer, of course, but Ken Singleton was awesome that series, and I was a big Palmer fan. Who else was on that team? Lee May, Mark Belanger, Paul Blair, Rick Dempsey, Mike Flanagan, Tippy and the other Martinez, Full Pack Stanhouse. I remember the Pirates better because I was a Cubs fan: Stargell, Foli, Madlock, Parker, Moreno (?), LF Robinson, Tekulve-Romo-lefty reliever. Hmm, maybe they're both a little fuzzy right now.

Individual tickets aren't for sale yet, are they? We supposedly have an early start because of being IronPigs season ticket holders. But there isn't jack left. I refuse to sit in the upper decks. I'd rather do Standing Room Only.

I got tix for game 2 in the first level in the outfield.
