Nice effort by Blackburn during the last ten minutes.
Congrats on letting another team take home the title on your field.

Was not pretty. From what I saw, lucky it was only 2-0.

Liverpool not making it into Europe might be the best thing for them. The extra money for getting into the Europa League is that much, and they would be able to concentrate on the league proper. They need to shore up their defense - Carragher is a liability and Skrtel had a poor season (and don't get me started on Johnson) and I have serious doubts about Carroll, but I think the squad is probably good enough to mount a title challenge unless Chelsea or Man City make intelligent buys over the summer.

I'm fine w/ them concentrating on the League and FA Cup.
Today proved that they need more depth in the center of their midfield as they sorely missed Raul and were never in control of the midfield. Having Gerrard back next season will help.
They really need some speed, particularly on the wings.

^ Yup. When the 32 teams who make it to the group stage settle things, the sixteen 1st and 2nd place teams in each group advance to the knockout stage, eight 3rd place teams "relegate" to Europa League, and the eight 4th place teams go home.
Europa League's group stage consists of 48 teams divided into 12 groups of 4. The twenty-four 1st and 2nd place finishers, plus the eight teams coming in from the Champions League, all comprise the final 32 that then go through their own knockout stage. Four rounds to get to the final two teams, then a one game neutral-site championship match.

In the Championship, QPR (1st) and Norwich City (2nd) have earned promotion to the Premiereship. The playoffs saw Reading (5th) get past Cardiff (4th) 0-0/0-3, while Swansea (3rd) defeated Nottingham Forest (6th) 0-0/3-1. Reading and Swansea meet at Wembley on Monday for the final promotion spot.
QPR, Norwich, and Reading/Swansea replace West Ham plus the other two relegating sides... even though we don't know who that will be yet. Five teams are within a point of each other heading into the final weekend... two of these five will relegate:
44 Sunderland (safe)
40 Blackburn 43-57 -14
40 Wolves 44-63 -19
39 Birmingham 35-56 -20
-- relegation zone
39 Blackpool 53-74 -21
39 Wigan 39-61 -22
33 West Ham (relegated)
Fixtures:
40 Blackburn (-14) at Wolves
40 Wolves (-19) hosts Blackburn
39 Birmingham (-20) at Spurs
39 Blackpool (-21) at ManUtd
39 Wigan (-22) at Stoke
If Wolves do not draw Blackburn, the winner is safe. If they draw, Wolves will be safe if at least 2 of the other three (Birmingham, Blackpool and Wigan) draw or lose their matches; and Blackburn will be safe if at least 1 of the other three draw or lose. If two win, Wolves go down. If all three win, Blackburn goes down as well.

Congrats to AFC Wimbledon for their promotion to the Football League. After only what, a decade, there's only one division separating them from MK Dons. Pretty incredible.

Yup, and what a great season it was for Man U, I hope you all watched the celebrations.
Wolves, never seen so much celebration after a loss.
