It's definitely not your year. Actually, my year is going exactly like yours

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2009 ptII

well i fell to 4-6 after a crushing (and somewhat surprising) defeat, the loss basically kills any chances at a playoff spot (i'll probably have to win out and get a lot of help along the way). But at least Chris Johnson became the top scoring RB last week so I can laugh in everyone's faces for giving me shit for taking him early. hahaha

Justin Forsett at Vikings
or
Jamaal Charles at Pitt

Neither seem to appetizing but I'm leaning towards Forsett.

It's upsetting that Turner is out, I was looking forward to flipping PT Cruiser for a wide reciever to really stack my team up. Now the trade deadline is Friday and it looks like I'll have to stay pat.
I'd go Forsett too

I'm in third place in my league at 6-4 (but second most points) and the defending champ. Due to me quickly snatching up Forsett and Snelling, I've got a dilemma on who to play in my standard yahoo league at rb. right now i have

RB1: DeAngelo Williams
RB2: Justin Forsett
FLEX: Jason Snelling

Bench: Addai, McCoy, Slaton, Moreno.

Its hard to bench Addai, but the Colts are playing Baltimore, and McCoy is starting against the shitty Bears D. I have a great feeling about Snelling and Forsett though.

I'd be skeptical of starting those three guys. Deangelo Williams is listed as questionable this week, although I hear he'll play but I don't know if he's 100%.

Then starting Forsett and Snelling is a gamble. Both are filling in for starters and while one of them may have a big game, I don't know if they both would.

I'd go the safe route and start Deangelo Williams (make sure to check the injury report later today in case he's not playing).. Joe Addai and either Forsett or Snelling. Neither has a great match up with Forsett having to go against the Vikings D and Snelling having to face a desperate Giants team... but I think Atlanta's coach is more likely to go to Snelling than put the ball in Matt Ryan's struggling hands. I also think the Squawks are more likely to let Hasselback to his thing rather than hand the ball to Forsett.

Then again, Forsett is also a threat through the air. So I think it's a toss up.

Any thoughts on which 2 to play out of the 3?

Roy Williams
Heath Miller
Kellen Winslow

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2009 ptII

I am now entirely dependent on two teams' rbs. So with two RBs and a flex, I have:

Pierre Thomas: did absolutely nothing last week
Reggie Bush: always a gamble
Michael Turner: out
Snelling: "experts" say he'll have the bigger day
Norwood: at this point, I'm hoping he's out just so Snelling can get the carries

At flex I can start Santonio Holmes (Ocho Cinco and Randy Moss are my other two WRs), but should I go with the all Saints backfield, or just go with Snelling?

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2009 ptII

Need a 2nd RB:

Laurence Maroney
Jonathan Stewart

Playing the worst team, but need this win for playoff push since i'm 5-4-1. Have peyton manning, andre johnson, chris johnson, and welker or s. rice, so i'm not too worried, but need all the points i can get.

Thank you for the insight...I was thinking the same thing but with the Jags, you just seem to never know

I'd probably go with Jackson, Smith, Johnson, Rice and Williams.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2009 ptII

Not sure who to play at WR and Flex (3 WR, 1 Flex; I also start 2 RBs which will be Ricky Williams and Mendenhall).

Moss v. NYJ
Ochocinco @ OAK
Boldin @ STL
Smith (NYG) v. ATL
Cotchery @ NE

McCoy @ CHI
Bell @ TB

Right now, plan is Moss, Boldin and Ochocinco at WR, and my big debate is McCoy or Smith at the flex. Bell has a good matchup but he's not getting enough carries for me to be confident, and I'm not sure what to expect of Cotchery/Jets at NE

I would have done Moss, Boldin, Smith and Mccoy.

I'm not set on anything, why do you sit Ochocinco? Oakland's middle of the road on pass defense.

I know Ashmounga only covers one side of the field so Ochocinco won't be covered by him the whole game.

It's not that I don't like Ochocinco, but the fact that the raiders run D sucks and it's the raiders...so the Bengals should be running the ball since they should be up.

I just liked everyone else more than Ochocinco.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2009 ptII

Thanks, appreciate the explanation. I asked because while Moss is always a must start (even going against Revis) and Boldin seems like a no-brainer, Ochocinco vs Smith vs McCoy was a closer call.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2009 ptII

thanks for the input, I'm now leaning Addai and Snelling. luckily i started D. Williams, he netted me 15.50 points. Great start to Week 11.

Re: Fantasy Football Talk 2009 ptII

well, playing stewart backfired. and since i was up against ricky williams, i now need to pray forte and warner get themselves carted off in the first quarter so chris johnson, andre johnson, and peyton manning can work their magic.

Bernard Berrian vs SEA

Frank Gore @ GB
Chris Johnson @ HOU

Ricky Williams @ CAR

Right now I have Driver, Jackson, Gore, Johnson, and Rice in my lineup but I think I could make a case to play either Williams or Smith instead of Rice. Not sure what I should do really.
I would say Gore, Johnson, Rice, Smith and Berrian

Matchups aren't great for Moss and Ochocinco (Revis and Scrabble are two of the best DB's right now). It's just hard to sit Moss, he's too good... but I would consider starting Steve Smith against a mediocre Atlanta D over Ocho against Asamoughaasdderdsf.

I'd start Mccoy at flex.
