Candace Parker?

I don't really care for the WNBA, it's just not that fun to watch as skilled as they are.

Whos is your pic Dx, and how did you get one of her in the bathroom?
Well, we dated back in the day... Just kidding.

She's Candace Parker. I googled her name and it was one of the first pics it popped. The funny thing is that although she is really cute, her fiancee is non other than Shelden Williams,a guy who is closer to the Sam Casell alien feature department:

Here is a pic of both of them together:

Re: Wow, the WNBA still exists.

Okay I can see it in Sue Bird, I dig the brunettes; but Parker, even with the bathroom pic, I think shes ugly as hell. When I saw the Stars play LA on TV she kept whining about calls and throwing tantrums, she looked like Devin Harris with long hair.

Ive only seen 2 full games and they were the Stars vs LA, than the Stars vs Detroit. So my ability to see any possible hot chick players is nil.

Deanna Nolan is a joy to watch perform when she's in the paint.
And it doesn't really hurt that she resembles XXX star Lacey

Re: Wow, the WNBA still exists.

The skill set and athleticism aren't the same as the men's game (even the women who "dunk"), but you don't get the annoyances of the NBA game either, and it's good for kids. I think the league would have trouble in the fall competing against both the NBA and college basketball. In summer it's really only baseball (and outdoor activities and vacations, of course). But yes, the league still faces challenges, evidenced by the folding of the Houston Comets, one of the WNBA's really historic franchises. Even the teams that get good attendance have trouble making ends meet.

Didn't know where else to put this, but I think is part of the reason why women basketball still not popular.

Even worse would be something like softball. Whatever happened to Kat Osterman?

Re: Wow, the WNBA still exists.

Storm trailed Phoenix by 12 with three minutes to go, and pulled out the win to advance to the Finals.

Storm finished the regular season 28-6 (17-0 at home, and no other team in the conference finished above .500) and have swept the first two rounds of the playoffs. Safe to say that anything short of a championship is going to be a disappointment.

Re: Wow, the WNBA still exists.

That's pretty bad if all of Seattle's sports hopes are pinned to a WNBA team winning a championship. At least you still have Ichiro.

Considering the much-hyped Huskies football team lost their opener and the Sounders lost on the same day this weekend, this is indeed a bright spot among the clouds. Even Ichiro isn't hitting like he usually does and there's been more talk about his salary (relative to the rest of the team) than ever before.

(And yes, I was calling out MLS as a noteworthy sport too)
