Do you root for one college in one sport and another college in another sport?
 

If you root for more than one team, do you have one favorite team? Or do you have a favorite college team for football and another favorite team for basketball (or baseball, or hockey, or lacrosse, et al)?

Miami Hurricanes, all sports (mostly that is football, basketball, baseball).

There are some here, I'm sure. Red Dog for one, he's Maryland in college football and Bucknell/Maryland in college hoops.

I'm reading the poll question to indicate you root for an entirely different team which would be odd. I could see rooting for multiple teams if you're cheering for a hometown team and also a college that's local to you now for instance. Or cheering for all the teams from a particular state/conference. But let's say you're a diehard North Carolina basketball fan and a rabid Ohio State football nut...that would be strange.

I could understand someone who's alma mater doesn't play football, but I just want to see if anybody has the guts to admit that they root for Duke basketball and Notre Dame football, but not Duke football and ND basketball.

I root for Bucknell first and foremost in all sports. Since their football is championship subdivision, I also root for Pittsburgh in football since I took a few classes there and it's more fun to root for a team in the Bowl subdivision. I'll root for their basketball team as well as long as they aren't playing Bucknell. I'll follow Colorado some too since I got a degree there as well. I don't root for any school that I didn't attend though.

And I root for Navy in football and most certainly root against them in basketball since they are a Patriot League rival of Bucknell.

Don't really have a team. I'd say I was a Gopher fan in all sports, but I didn't attend there.

I dislike Notre Dame in football and Duke in basketball, if that counts. :)

Minnesota Gophers in all sports, and all of the Minnesota pro teams as well.

Grew up in Philadelphia, so it's Penn State for football and Temple/Villanova for basketball (with Temple being my favorite if they play each other since I went there). Though I've also developed into a UConn Huskies BB fan since I went to graduate school there when they started winning championships.

I don't think it's a big deal having different favorite college teams for different sports. Aside from the Duke/Notre Dame people (who probably also double as Lakers/Yankees fans).
