Brewers back in Boston tonight for the first time since they switched leagues. I remember seeing them back probably around '92 or '93 when they were still in the AL at Fenway.

I was tempted to go stand and wait in line for tickets tonight, but Friday night games are some of the worst to try and stand in line for. Oh well.

woo hoo, yanks in last...

Somebody help me out here...
Is it time to drop Travis Hafner in my fantasy league? By our scoring he is the 592nd best player in the game.
Is he going to turn it around or is he Andruw 2008? I barely start him at this point.

I would dump him, especially if you can get a good young guy. I nabbed Church the other day in one league. I still have Andruw on one team, but it's a massively deep league (12 teams with 35ish players).

I'm with lordwow on this one, I'd absolutely see what you can get for him. Look at the teams at the bottom of your league and see if there's anybody that really needs to shake things up and see what you can do.

A guy in my league has Adam Dunn, Bill Hall and Ryan Zimmerman. I told him he could pick between those three for which one he wanted to give up for Travis Hafner (haha, it's all in how you word it)...

I'm not sure he'll accept, but I would be pretty stoked for any of them, especially Hall.

Soriano hit his 2nd dinger of the day against Pittsburgh. Led off the 1st inning with a solo shot then hit a 3-run homer in the 2nd. Cubs lead 6-0 after 2...

Nothing better than coming off a tough series and seeing "@Bos" on the schedule.

edit: Never mind. I didnt realize Jeff Suppan was pitching.

Izzy on DL; Perez called up

ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
Friday, May. 16 2008

The Cardinals added Memphis Redbirds closer Chris Perez to their roster today
as the team seeks relief for the back end of its bullpen.

Jason Isringhausen, who Thursday suffered his sixth blown save and fifth loss
of the season, was placed on the disabled list because of a hand injury.

Isringhausen reportedly suffered a laceration on his right hand when he reacted
angrily after last Friday's game, when he blew a 2-0 lead with two out in the
bottom of the ninth at Milwaukee. He twice delievered open-handed blows to a
television set in the clubhouse after the 3-2 loss.

However, Isringhausen made three relief appearances in the week after that
incident.

To make room for Perez on the 40-man roster, Josh Kinney was shifted to the
60-day disabled list.

Perez, 22, is a 6-foot-4 righthander who has been highly successful against
Triple-A competition this season.

He racked up 22 strikeouts in 17.2 innings to go with eight saves and a 2.04
ERA. Opposing hitters batted .190 against him, with lefthanders batting only
.130.

Perez was a supplemental first-round draft pick (42nd overall) out of Miami
(Fla.) in 2006.

It is uncertain at this point what role Perez will serve in the Cardinals
bullpen.

I almost posted yesterday that it was time for Izzy to go on the DL with a strained something or another which oftentimes happens when a pitcher is struggling like he is. It's almost comical to see he's being disabled from a self-inflicted injury several games ago. Comical if it didn't hurt so much...

Given this weather, I dunno if the sox will play tonight.

I watched most of the Cubs game (glad I get WGN now), happy soriano is finally hitting, making up for the mediocre year+ I've had him in my keeper league.

Scott Rolen goes to the AL and still makes a trip into Philadelphia. Wonder if the fans there are still all over him.

Werth almost hit for the home run cycle: He hit a solo HR, a 3-run HR, and a grand slam HR.
