Only thing worse than a 3 game losing streak is seeing Lester get the ball to try and end it....

And the Dodgers lost again. Dbacks gain ground. It's great when you can play shitty ball for a few weeks and still maintain your division lead.

It's right there in black and white. My lord, I am good. I'll send out PMs with my mailing address for those checks.

Was at the game last night. Pitiful crowd even with the Yankees in town. 16,000. What's Tampa Bay's excuse for not showing up now that they are winning? Oh, I know! It's not a baseball town. They had 13,000 on Monday night.

Oh as far as the Yanks are concerned...I know everyone counts them out this time of year, but their offense is putrid and they don't have enough SP to make it through this season. The playoff streak is over this season.

It's been a long time since Yanks fans have been looking to the offseason this early in the year. Shopping spree is nice, but I'd like to see what the kids on the farm produce too.

Manny just made an amazing catch running back towards the wall. After he caught it, he jumped up off the wall, high-fived a fan, and then doubled up the runner off first.

Manny.

Running catch at the wall. Jumps up, high fives a fan, turns around and doubles up Huff at first who didn't tag.

Throwing in the towel already?

I guess I'll have to hold up the Yankee "Fort of Hope" around here for awhile.

Totally forgot the Red Sox were on this afternoon. At least I didn't have to watch them lose their 4th straight.

Poor Boston

Great play this afternoon by Manny just being Manny, running catch of Millar's line drive he high fives a guy in the stands and throws out Huff at 1st.

Also interesting, today the Rays extended Kazmir for another 3 years 28mil, certainly the right move for a ballclub that's beginning to make waves this season.

Boy, Lance Berkman just keeps hitting the snot out of the ball, blasting a 1st inning home run tonight. He was hitting about .300 10 games ago and is now at .396.

Isringhausen pitched a 1-2-3 9th inning to get his ERA down to 6.62. More importantly, the Cards broke their brief losing streak and hopefully are back on track.

In other imploding closer news, the Brewers used Mota who did his best Gagne impression by giving up 3 in the 9th to lose their game against the Dodgers.

Francisco Cordero contributed to the Reds blowing a 6 run lead in the 9th inning before they won in extra innings.

Kerry Wood gave up a run and loaded the bases before finishing out the Cubs' victory.

The NL Central is going to be an adventure this year with these guys pitching the late innings...

How about 24 being turned the wrong way and he still robs LaRoche of a home run.
