Team 84947

Among the many names your team had:
The WHO's ZOO
The Who Bee's
the Who's poo
WHO's ZOO's pitcher blows
feeble Zoo
somewhat less feeble Zoo
Fiddling about with the boys
Bitter and Twisted
Red X
and finally WHOTONY

Do you remember that you spent TWO seasons in PL2?

Here's your team:

Not that I'm suggesting we bring back DTSL, but things are different now. In the last week, Commish has finally come back to the game and is posting on the SB forums again. It doesn't appear this game is going to die any time soon and may even see upgrades in the coming months.

I found my team, after seeing a post on twitter by Dancinns.

107166 - The Invaders.
I forgot I got the deluxe trainer for that team.

I think I had another team, but I can't recall

I just noticed that smallball has two apps for the iphone, one is a pinball, not sure of the other.

I wonder if there will be a baseball or other sports app coming from them.

It took me a few years to catch this but I went back on the nostalgia train after running across a backup of the old DTSL site. Man, that brought back some good memories.

I may even try to see if I can fire up the ol' game this weekend but it'll probably crash and burn on my Mac.

What's everyone up to these days? I haven't been around here in ages.

Wow almost five years, you've been a busy person somewhere.

I even tried to log into the smallball forum the other day but have no clue what my screen name and password was, the usual ones didn't work.

I'm surprised smallball hasn't moved this over to a tablet and smartphone app yet.

Also I can't believe it's been over ten years since we started this.

It was probably right around the time I moved to Oregon. Then twitter and Facebook came along...

I'm surprised the game is still running, they don't seem to have a done a whole lot with the game

Has it really been 10 years since I started this crap?

No Dr., just gainfully employed dancinns.

Well, it's been so long since you have been around...

Plus, I am a bit older now, so the memory isn't what it used to be.

Re: Smallball Thread 1,000,426,013 - Darkelf Flashback

Hi guys! It's been a LONG LONG time. I had largely faded into the woodwork on the SmallBall forums, but I got interested again a few days ago because it seems we're putting together the definitive SmallBall Hall of Fame and all the old memories and the history are flooding back. Miss you guys! I can't believe my DVDTalk ID login still works!

Yes, crazy enough, I still train my team every day. The game is completely stagnant, of course, but it's still going after all these years.

I'll try not to be a stranger on DVDTalk.

Cheers!

Re: Smallball Thread 1,000,426,013 - Darkelf Flashback

Yup, that's a common complaint: no worky on a Mac!
And a common question is: when's the iPhone App coming? (of course, we know the answer: NEVER! Nothing will ever happen, so stop asking!)

Anyway, there aren't many people left. We're down to 4 1/2 Pro Leagues now (instead of 9), and one guy has found a way to run through rookie tickets to get players with very high skill levels, so he's been crushing everyone for two years, so there's no competitive balance anymore. Those of us that remain are probably going to keep playing until Commish finally pulls the plug. Which we thought would be years ago, so who knows how many more years this thing might still keep going.

We did get a new DT about 2 years ago though.

What's this Smallball game? It sounds like fun. Someone should start up a league for it.
