I hadn't watched ATH in about 3 years and caught it on vacation last week... OMG do the regulars look OLD. Cowlishaw and the dude from Boston looked like they each aged 10 years.

MNF needs to be revamped.

The crane shot of Booger McFarland offering on field analysis is ridiculous.

and Witten is a bad fit as the lead analyst.

AND just sounds like a dumber version of Tony Romo.

The MNF crew is coming back.

No!!!!!

Why does every network hire a Cowboy and put them in the broadcast booth?

You can hear Booger give insightful quotes like this

"Stats are like bikinis. They show some things, but not all things."

At least it's not Gruden. Who thought every player was great.

... until they were on his active roster. And actually were great.

I think Whiten is terrible. But I kind of like McFarland. So rarely do we get color commentary from a recent defensive player. I like that insight sometimes. And I think he's gotten better lately.

NFL Game Pass and TuneIn Premium both offer Westwood One's radio broadcast of MNF thus you don't have to listen to the less than stellar ESPN coverage.

While that is true, it doesn't sync up perfectly with the game and usually runs 1 or 2 plays behind the video feed. At least it does on my phone. That's how I used to have to watch the game on Monday Nights in the gym. I was glad that they're actually showing the game on the Watch ESPN app this season.
Do they still have the segment every week where Jim Gray felatiates Tom Brady while the GOAT inarticulately says absolutely nothing then tells Jim it's his bedtime now? I don't miss hearing that.

Re: Is It Just Me, Or Has ESPN Been Going Down Hill?

If Booger was as good doing MNF as he was on ESPN radio I suspect far more people would enjoy his contributions. Including me. But given those radio spots were realtively short, and on specific topics, I suspect the issue with Booger is he just isn't a good fit for doing a full game with the inability to focus topics he had clearly prepared for ahead of time.

I think MLB.TV is the only streaming service that links audio feed with the video feed, however I enjoy the game just as much because of the difference in time.
