Play a game with me. Hall of Famer or not?

I like arguements on here it's entertaining so here it goes I post a current or recently retired player, and you convince me one way or the other.

The first one is someone near and dear to me :

Kevin Garnett

career stats:
20.5 ppg
11.4 rpg
4.5 assists
nearly .500 shooter, and .800 ft shooter
and about 1.5 each of blocks and steals.
usually leads the team in all stats (this year all but assists)
rookie of the year
mvp award
3 time defensive first team
2 time all first team
all star mvp
10 all star games

sadly western conference finals.

So for you guys the thought that he is not a clutch player and no titles doesn't bother you.

I knock him down some for both of those things. Especially missing the playoffs so many times. Kobe's team isn't appreciably better, but they have made the playoffs the last two years. Garnett's team has missed the playoffs 3 years in a row in his prime, that's unexcusable.

No titles does not equal no Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame is an individual honor. So what Dan Marino shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame? To keep it in the same sport are you saying Karl Malone isnt Hall of Fame worthy??

If SpicolliDriver1 doesn't mind...what about these guys?

Ray Allen
Paul Pierce

Not saying that all. But here in MN he is god but im thinking more nationally it doesn't appear to me that he is loved quite like Malone or Barkley.

I don't think he is as loved because he doesn't have the personality of Malone, and especially not like Barkley.

but

He is a beast. Not many 20 10 and 5 guys around in history and he does it practically year after year. I'm pretty sure he will get the Hall of Fame love, especially since his career isn't close to being over.

I think Kevin Garnett would make the HOF. I am at 50/50 for Ray Allen, but right now lean towards no. Paul Pierce, NO. Vince Carter, NO WAY, he is one of the most overrated players of our time.

Nope. I'd take Robert Horry over those guys.

As posted, I do say "no", but there's no way Horry deserves more of a vote than those guys. A role player, even a legendary one, is still a role player. Horry has never been one of the top 20 players in the league, not even close, while these guys have.

Or, put a different way, a team of 5 Paul Pierces would wipe the floor with a team of 5 Horrys.

But a team of 5 Horrys would have 35 championships*!

This is pointless. Except for Malone and Barkley, nobody mentioned in this thread is a Hall of Famer.
Spoiler:
Now, if you want to ask whether these folks are potential Hall of Famers....

KG is a must.

The other guys are strong possibilities. They have a full career with the kind of stats they have now and they are in.

I don't think titles are required when you talk about a guy being a Hall of Famer.

Where I have a problem is people trying to argue that Barkley and Malone are better all time power forwards than a guy with 3 titles like Tim Duncan. For one Duncan dominated both of those guys (especially with his defensive stats, did Barkley ever play defense?) when he came into the league, but most importantly he took multiple teams all the way to rings and that has to count on his side.
