This could be the greatest - or worst - thread in DVD Talk Sports Forum history.

Now all we need is Dalvin to offer up his mock draft. Not just GM of one team, Dalvin, you get to be GM of all of them!

Since it appears he is taking this seriously, I am heavily leaning towards greatest.

I would also like detailed salary cap breakdowns and analysis of all trades and picks.

I'd say do one pick or trade per post, with commentary if desired (preferred). Dan can put a list of just the picks in his first post after each pick is made.

I would also like to see final starting lineups for each team after the Dalvin GM Summit/Draft is over.

I think I'll break down each team's draft choices, then do trades all of which will work under the CBA agreement). Some trades I might work in whike the draft is going on.

Here is the lottery...more to come!!!!

1. Portland Trailblazers- Greg Oden- C-Ohio State- With the impending departure of "weight challenged" Randolph(who needs to stop going to McDonald's all the damn time), the Blazers look to build around a team of Roy-Aldridge and Oden.

2. Seattle Supersonics- Kevin Durant- OK....so he can bench press about as much as my mom...it doesn't matter...he is the best for them at #2. THis will give them a nice core addition of Allen- Durant

3. Atlanta- Brandan Wright- With Billy KIng being GM, he thinks "lets do something different...I know....we'lll draft a power forward"

4. Memphis-Al Horford- The addition of Horford, looks like it could be the end of Mr. Gasol.

5. Portland- Boston needs help now, and accepts a trade of Zach Randolph and Jarrett Jack for Gearld Green pick #5 and Theo Ratliff. With the 5th pick in the draft the Blazers unite Conley-Oden

6. Milwaukee- They have a great two guard in Micahel Redd, and an up an coming something in Andrew Bogut. They debate about the pick, and settle on Corey Brewer from Florida.

7. Minnesota- There is a possibility this pick is being shopped at the moment. With the 7th selection the T-Wolves select... Jeff Green from Georgetown University

8. Charlotte- With Emeka Okafor, and Raymond Felton as the two franchise players, and with the status of Gearld Wallace up in the air, the Charlotte Bocats select Julian Wright from Kansas.

9. Chicago- THe Bulls are restling back and forth between two player(Jinlian and Noah), in the end the take the player who has the greater ceiling...with the 9th pick the Bulls select Yi Jinlian from Juntao

10. Sacramento- They originally wanted Jeff Green, and are pissed that Wright and Brewer are gone as well, with Artest likely to be traded this offseason. With the 10th selection the Kings pick up Joakim Noah from Florida(who would have been #1 pick last year)

11. Atlanta- With point guard as the biggest are of need(for how many years now?) they restle back and forth before selecting..... with the 11pick....Javaris Crittenton from Georgia Tech

12. Philadelphia- They have a nice point guard in MIller, and decide they want to go with.....Spencer Hawes from Washington

13. New Orleans- They have a franchise point guard in Chris Paul who is everything the team needs. THey go for the player who has the best upside still left , and select....Thaddeus Young from Georgia Tech

14. Los Angeles Clippers- With Shaun Livingston likely out next year, the area of point guard is a huge concern. With the 14th pick the Clippers select Acie Law IV from Texas A&M

15. Detroit Pistons- With the unknown status of Chris Webber, and the likely shopping of Mr. white spot on the back of my head Wallace, they want expereince, and go with the player who can most contribute now in Al THornton from Florida State

MOre to come.....

More trades will occur once the draft is over, signings such as MLE, and the LLE will also occur.

WOW

What a steal. Portland gets to keep both second rounders in this scenario!

It's odd. In some trades, Dalvin way undervalues draft picks. In other trades, he way overvalues them.

the picks themselves, though, are reasonable.

They always have been. It's the trades to get some of those picks that are ridiculous.

More work to be done

16) Wahington Wizards- with Agent Zero holding down the backcourt, they go for the fourtcourt hopefull in Jason Smith from Colorado State

17) New Jersey- With Vince Carter likely on the way out of town, they go for the likeable hero in Derrick Byars from Vanderbilt

18) Golden State- At this point, they take the bpa, and settle on.....Nick Young from USC

19)Los Angeles Lakers- Lakers need a great small forward, so that Odom can move back to the 4. They wanted Byars, but since he is gone, go for a 6-4 "combo guard" in Rodney Stuckey from Eastern Washington.

20) Miami Heat- Gary Payton is set to retire, Dwayne Wade is coming off surgery, they go with Gabe Pruit, Point guard from USC

21)Philadelphia- THey got the center(not the one they were hoping for), and settle here on Marcus Williams SG/SF from Arizona

22) Charlotte- With his buyout issues, a major concern, the Bobcats select Tiago Splitter from Tau Vitoria

23) New York- Let's see....they have Marbury, Francis, Crawford, all of whom are ball dominant guards. New York is definetly trying to shop this pick, and may do so. They draft Josh McRoberts from Duke(with the intention of trading his ass)

24) Phoenix- THey have everything except a great center(as most teams don't). Hasheem Thabeet would have been nice here, but he decided to go back to school, instead they settle on Aaron Gray from Pittsburgh

25)Utah- THey have Deron Williams, and Carlos Boozer, THe Utah Jazz select Morris Almond(sounds like a cookie) from Rice University

26) Houston- This is difficult...Tracy McGrady is on the trading block, and they have an all-star center in Yao Ming. With the 26th pick the Houston Rockets select....Petteri Kaponen- the 6-5 pass first shoot second point guard from Finland.

27) Detroit- THey grabbed the ever talented SF/PF in Al Thornton with their 15th pick. Now with the 27th pick, theDEtroit Pistons select...DeVon Hardin- Center from California

28) San Antonio- Again, Tim Duncan is getting a little rickety, and you have a great young point guard in Tony Parker, and an agile small forward in Manu Ginobillit. Considering they have picking Euros so well, they do it again. With the 28th pick the San Antonio Spurs select... Rudy Fernandez- SG- from DKV Joventut

29) Suns- Thy had an excellent late first round steal with Leandro Barbosa, and feel that they may have found that once again. The Suns with their final selection in the first round select Marco Belinini-SG/SF from Climamio Bologna.

30) Philadelphia- With the final pick in the draft, the Philadelphia 76ers, have a tough dilema. THey already have a nice young center in Spencer Hawes. They shock everyone and select.....Jared Jordan from Marist College

That's it.....Round 1 completed! Now where's my damn cookie?

Dalvin not only creates trades, now he just starts rumors for the hell of it. Where did you hear that T-Mac is on the trading block?
