That whole "hanging breaking ball" strategy isn't quite working

Oh well, we'll just keep having to tag their 100 million dollar man. Already been welcoming him to the bigs anyway.

There's a short break right now in the Sox batting practice.

How you figure tagging him? There have only been like 3 hits on him, and only 1 was even hard. The hit batters has been the major problem.

That was crazy shit. I had a bad feeling for this series with all the Yankees pitching injuries, and I think the bullpen blew the only win in this series.

Three runs (no matter how they were earned/scored) on three innings off a guy that's suposed to be dominant and have a gyroball? And I won't even mention his $alary..

Needless to say....by "tagging" i'm thinking he wasn't talking about BP like we gave BOS last inning..

Yeah, you better not mention his "$alary". How many Yankees make more than him?

Well, power hitter Doug Mientkiewicz seems to disagree. Looks like the Yanks are doing ok against your 12 Billion yen purchase. Just missed tying it up.

Beats me, but that doesn't matter since they're not the ones pitching..

wtf

a yankee fan was the first one to bring up money in this thread, which is wholly ironic given the spending the yankees have done in the last 10 years.

Bushy's panties are clearly in a bunch now that the Yankees quickly blew another lead. I hope they keep it close so we can tag Mariano again...

No shit. I meant for years. You guys have been unrelentingly bitching about how 1 team in baseball outspends the Red Sox. Now we give you some shit about your expensive toy and there are negative reactions.

Eh, I view it as a "when in Rome" type thing. I've made no secret of my stance on implementing a hard salary cap in the game (which will never happen, obviously).
