Keith Jackson calling the Michigan-Ohio State football game every year and the Rose Bowl, especially when Ohio State was in it.

If this is a serious topic: Chick Hearn or Vin Scully.

Us SoCal people had/have it real good. Chicky was the greatest.

BOOOOOOO!

(I must have been watching Pardon the Interruption a bit too much.... )

But seriously, here in northern California we've had some legends: Lon Simmons, Jon Miller, the late Bill King, and several others.

I lived in SoCal from 1994-98, and I must have missed his good years. Actually I know I missed his good years. The years I caught were well after his better days and were to the comedic point (in a bad way).

As much as I don't like him/dodgers, can't disagree with scully.

Serious answer: Kevin Harlan. When Kevin and Kevin McHale did Timberwolves games (before he destroyed hte franchise) there wasn't a better set of announcers and harlan brought so much passion and great lines to every game. Plus when the wolves were getting killed (which was most of hte time back then), there wasn't 2 funnier guys than these two. They'd sit and rip on fans the entire 4th quarter to kill time. Those games were better than close ones.

Also, Gopher Basketball announcer Ray Christianson just because the guy is like 90 and he'd get so upset when players would dunk "I just don't understand why they have to do that". Its classic.
