10-29: College Football Games & Lines

So what are you looking at?

I'm looking at:

USC vs Oregon St +12
Penn St -3 vs Purdue

I haven't really gone through the rest, but thses two stuck out at first glance.

USC will certainly not cover that spread.

I'm taking the opposite of whatever Matta advises. That's the Big Jimmy "Lock of the Week".

I would say that those are very favorable lines above.

I wouldn't be suprised if they lose on a last second FG. They are ripe for a loss...since they have come close a number of times, and should have lost AT LEAST one of those games.

I'm not sure rutgers will cover -19.5 against UConn. I'm iffy on that, so I may just avoid it.

HI has a really high cover, I think -25? I should check the over.

Does anyone else think this game looks odd?

Georgia (-1.5) at Florida (In Jacksonville)

I can't believe Georgia is a favorite over Florida the way they have been playing.

Yeah I was looking at that. Georgia could lose by 20+ if they aren't careful. Of course...FL hasn't really imploded yet, and they are about due. I'll probably take that ML on UF because of the out of wack spread.

On the Yahoo! Fantasy College Pickem the spread on this game is Florida (-13.5). This looks closer to being right but I don't know if this is Yahoo! setting the line for the game or if they are getting it from somewhere else.

bodog.com has Florida (-14). If you can find someone favoring Georgia, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

I like the initial pick of USC to cover vs. Oregon State. Oregon State got manhandled by Boise St earlier this year, and I think their rushing D is very weak. USC had a bye week to regroup after a grueling schedule, and I think they'll come out focused and ready to tatoo Oregon State. They definitely have the coaching edge.

I figured UGA would show some pride and play some D today, keeping the game within reason. 13.5 - 14.5 points between two SEC teams like this is rarely a good bet. Clearly, as Terrell's been telling me all season, I've drastically underestimated how big a steaming pile of shit UGA really is.

That's fine as long you give me credit for GT winning. I see you didn't have much faith.

Thankfully most of the losses I took were flyers. AZ did screw me though, I thought that would win big for me. Still very much in the black for the weekend.

Now I need:

Conn vs Rutgers -19.5
Dal vs Car........ML Dal
